• Sitting again Monday
Fortes is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Tigers.

Advice: Fortes will sit for the second day in a row and the third time in four games while Christian Bethancourt gets another turn behind the plate. The Marlins have gotten minimal production from both of their catchers for most of the season, but Bethancourt has shown some semblance of life at the dish of late, going 6-for-13 with two doubles over his last four games. That may be enough to give him the edge on playing time for now over Fortes, who has turned in a .345 OPS over 78 plate appearances on the season. Rotowire.com Today, 12:33 pm

  • Nido starting again behind the dish for Mets
Tomás Nido is starting at catcher and hitting ninth for the Mets on Monday against the Phillies.

Advice: Nido has now started five of the last six games behind the dish for the Mets and has clearly become the team’s starting catcher with Francisco Alvarez on the IL. He’s gone just 8-of-40 (.200) on the season with one home run, 10 strikeouts, and two walks in 16 games, which makes him tough to roster in many fantasy formats. Rotoworld Today, 12:18 pm

  • Connor Wong hitting third for Red Sox on Monday
Connor Wong is starting behind the plate and batting third for the Red Sox on Monday against the Rays.

Advice: Wong has hit as high as second this season but only against left-handed pitching, so having him hit third with Rafael Devers and Tyler O’Neill both in the lineup is surprising. The Red Sox are clearly looking to spark some offense, and Wong is hitting .364/.417/.500 in six games in May with just a 21% strikeout rate, so Boston is looking to see if his hot bat can spark their offense. Fantasy managers who lost Willson Contreras can certainly look to Wong to fill the gap with him swinging the bat this well. Rotoworld Today, 11:38 am

  • Initiates rehab assignment
Heineman (hamstring) began a rehab assignment Saturday with Double-A Portland and went 1-for-3 with a run and an RBI while serving as a designated hitter.

Advice: On the 10-day injured list since April 23 with a right hamstring strain, Heineman will likely need to make multiple starts at catcher during his rehab assignment before he's activated. Heineman still has one minor-league option remaining, so he could eventually settle at Triple-A Worcester once activated if both of the Red Sox's top two backstops (Connor Wong and Reese McGuire) are both healthy. • Belts two homers
Trevino went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in Sunday's win over the Rays.

Advice: Trevino knocked a two-run shot in the fourth inning and tacked on an insurance run with his solo blast in the eighth. Entering Sunday's game, the veteran catcher had just two home runs through 78 plate appearances this season. He's now slashing .293/.341/.453 with four long balls and 14 RBI through 26 appearances. • Homers, plates three RBI in win
Garver went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer, a walk and three RBI in Sunday's 8-4 win over the Athletics.

Advice: Garver extended the Mariners' lead with a two-run blast in the fifth and also got things rolling for the M's with an RBI single in the opening frame. The two hits ended a mini three-game slump for the 33-year-old, though he's still been hitting well in May, slashing .300/.405/.567 with two homers, six RBI and five runs over his last eight games. • Homers in Sunday's win
Zavala went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's win over the Athletics.

Advice: Zavala took Kyle Muller deep in the sixth inning for his first home run of the year. It was just his second RBI and third extra base hit on the season, as he only has 31 plate appearances while operating as the team's backup catcher to Cal Raleigh. Rotowire.com Today, 4:43 am

  • Goes deep in win
Fry went 1-for-2 with a two-run homer, two runs scored and two walks in Sunday's win over the White Sox.

Advice: Fry belted a two-run shot in the fourth inning and later reached base twice more. The breakout utility man has gone 10-for-28 (.357) with four extra-base hits over his last 10 games. Through 27 games, Fry is slashing .309/.437/.515 with three home runs and 14 runs scored. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:47 pm

  • Goes yard
Rutschman went 1-for-4 with a solo homer during Sunday's 9-2 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Rutschman notched his sixth long ball of the campaign, tagging Zac Gallen for a solo home run in the sixth inning. After seeing his batting average jump from .254 to .277 last season, Rutschman has taken another step forward at the plate in 2024, slashing .304/.339/.453 with 23 RBI and 21 runs scored across 38 games.
