      Phillies president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski told reporters J.T. Realmuto will miss roughly one month following right knee surgery.

      Advice: Dombrowski added that Realmuto has opted to undergo surgery later this week after playing through a small meniscus tear in his right knee for an unspecified period. Given the timing of the surgery, it sounds like Realmuto has a chance to return shortly after next month’s All-Star break. The 33-year-old backstop has been a central component of Philadelphia’s remarkable start to the year, thanks to his stellar defensive contributions, while also posting a solid .720 OPS with seven homers and one steal through 51 games. Gelb also reports that Realmuto will miss roughly a month, potentially setting him up for a mid-July return from the shelf.
