    • Gives up grand slam in loss
Lodolo (3-2) took the loss Saturday versus the Giants, allowing four runs on five hits and a walk while striking out six over six innings.

Advice: His line is deceptive -- Lodolo permitted all four runs in the first inning on a Matt Chapman grand slam. He also gave up two hits in the fourth, but Lodolo escaped that rough patch with no further damage. The southpaw started the season with just five runs allowed over his first four starts, but he's been tagged for four runs in each of his last two outings. He's now at a 3.34 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 43:9 K:BB through 35 innings over six starts this season. Lodolo will look to get back on track in his next start, a tough one that is tentatively scheduled to be on the road versus the Dodgers. Rotowire.com Today, 7:53 pm

    • Picks up second win
Littell (2-2) got the victory Saturday versus the Yankees, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks over 5.2 innings. He notched three strikeouts.

Advice: Littell came into this outing with zero walks over his last four starts and at least six strikeouts in all of those outings. While he went the other direction in both areas during Saturday's start, it was an effective outing nonetheless. Littell is sitting on a 3.02 ERA, but this was his first win since March 30. His next outing projects to come in Boston. Rotowire.com Today, 5:49 pm

    • Collects sixth save
Jansen struck out two in a perfect inning Saturday to notch his sixth save of the season in a 4-2 win over the Nationals.

Advice: After the Red Sox broke a scoreless tie with two runs in the bottom of the eighth inning, Jansen made quick work of the Nats in the top of the ninth with a groundout and a couple punchouts. The outing comes one day after Jansen was touched up for two runs in a non-save situation Friday. Jansen battled control issues early on in the season but has seemed to figure those out, putting up a 10:1 K:BB across his last six frames. Rotowire.com Today, 4:38 pm
    • Zack Littell beats Yankees to improve to 2-2
Zack Littell picked up his second victory of the season on Saturday, limiting the Yankees to two runs on four hits over 5 2/3 frames.

Advice: The right-hander struck out three batters on the afternoon while issuing a pair of walks. All of the damage done against him came in the second inning, as Anthony Volpe smacked a two-out, two-run single with the bases loaded. Littell settled in beautifully afterwards, allowing his offense to battle back. He got eight swings and misses on 80 at-bats on the afternoon, registering a CSW of 25 percent. Now 2-2 on the season, he’ll tote a 3.02 ERA and 1.28 WHIP into Thursday’s battle against the Red Sox. Rotoworld Today, 4:27 pm

    • Evan Carter scratched Saturday with back stiffness
Evan Carter was scratched from the Rangers’ starting lineup on Saturday due to stiffness in his lower back.

Advice: He probably sustained the injury sitting on the bench three times during the week against left-handers instead of actually being on the field. The Rangers are going to take every possible precaution here, so it’s possible that he’ll be held out of Sunday’s lineup as well — causing him to miss the entire three-game weekend set against the Rockies. • Kenley Jansen whiffs two while picking up save
Kenley Jansen struck out two while picking up a save against the Nationals on Saturday.

Advice: Jansen didn’t allow a hit and threw 12-of-16 pitches for strikes. The 36-year-old remains effective in the closing role, and he’s up to six saves while lowering his ERA to 1.86 on the 2024 campaign. Tough to complain about those results. Rotoworld Today, 3:28 pm
    • Dealing with stiff back
Carter is sitting Saturday against the Rockies due to lower-back stiffness, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Advice: Carter has had a history of lower-back issues, so the Rangers are acting cautiously, per Grant. Travis Jankowski is getting the start in left field and batting seventh. Rotowire.com Today, 3:25 pm

    • Sitting Saturday
Carter is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Rockies.

Advice: Despite the Rockies sending out right-hander Ryan Feltner, the lefty-hitting Carter will begin Saturday's contest in the dugout. Carter has gone 7-for-34 with five runs and four RBI while posting a 35.1 percent strikeout rate in May. Travis Jankowski will start in left field and bat seventh. Rotowire.com Today, 2:23 pm

    • Not starting Saturday
Freeman is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the White Sox.

Advice: Freeman broke a three-game hitless streak during Friday's 6-3 loss when he swatted a solo home run, his first since April 19. Ramon Laureano will start in center field Saturday and bat sixth against White Sox right-hander Mike Clevinger. Rotowire.com Today, 1:04 pm
