    • Blasts eighth homer
Robert went 2-for-3 with a solo home run during Thursday's 1-0 win over Atlanta.

Advice: Robert's eighth blast of the season came in the first inning off Chris Sale and was the only run to cross the plate on the day. It was just the fourth multi-hit game of the season for Robert, who missed a couple months earlier this season with a hip flexor strain. While Robert has struggled to the tune of a .204 average and 38 strikeouts over 114 plate appearances for the moribund White Sox, his AB/HR ratio of 12.9 is a career-best mark and portends to good things to come for the 26-year-old slugger. • Luis Robert homers to give White Sox 1-0 victory
Luis Robert went 2-for-3 with a homer in a victory over Atlanta on Thursday in the first game of a doubleheader.

Advice: Robert’s homer was not only the only run Chris Sale allowed and not only the only run for the White Sox, it was the only run scored by either team Thursday. The 26-year-old has homered eight times in his 103 at-bats while driving in 12 runs. Robert Jr. has enormous fantasy potential, but it sure would be nice to see him playing for a team that had a semblance of competence. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:55 pm

    • Ketel Marte doubles and homers in loss to Twins
Ketel Marte homered and doubled in a blowout loss Thursday to the Twins.

Advice: Marte now has 17 homers on the season to go with 17 doubles. It’s been a fantastic season for the 30-year-old even in a shaky — to put it nicely — season for the Diamondbacks with those numbers along with 47 RBI and an .863 OPS. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:45 pm
    • Resting against southpaw
Kepler is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Kepler will be joined on the bench by fellow left-handed hitter Trevor Larnach as the Twins add a pair of right-handed bats (Manuel Margot and Kyle Farmer) to the lineup to counter Diamondbacks southpaw Jordan Montgomery. Expect Kepler to rejoin the starting nine for the Twins' series opener in Seattle on Friday, when right-hander Logan Gilbert is scheduled to take the hill for the Mariners. • Ryan Pepiot strikes out eight on Wednesday vs. Mariners
Ryan Pepiot recorded eight strikeouts and allowed one run over 5 1/3 innings on Wednesday in a no-decision against the Mariners.

Advice: Pepiot carried a shutout into the sixth inning before being lifted from the contest at 88 pitches (54 strikes) after issuing a one-out walk to J.P. Crawford. He wound up being charged with that run when reliever Shawn Armstrong served up a three-run homer to Cal Raleigh later in the frame. The 26-year-old righty generated 15 swinging strikes, including nine on his four-seam fastball alone, and finished with a respectable 29 percent CSW. It was a nice effort from Pepiot considering he failed to complete five frames in each of his previous two outings. He’ll bring a 4.40 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 83/25 K/BB ratio across 71 2/3 innings (14 starts) into a strong road matchup on Wednesday against the Royals. Rotoworld Wednesday, 1:20 pm

    • Absent from lineup versus righty
Naylor is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Orioles.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Naylor took a seat in Tuesday's 10-8 win while southpaw Cade Povich was on the bump, but Naylor's absence Wednesday is more conspicuous against Baltimore right-hander Grayson Rodriguez. Naylor could be nursing an unspecified injury, but the Guardians have yet to provide any official confirmation on that front. Jhonkensy Noel was called up from Triple-A Columbus and will enter the lineup at first base Wednesday in place of Naylor. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 12:48 pm

    • Fans eight in no-decision
Pepiot allowed one run on one hit and two walks while striking out eight batters over 5.1 innings in a no-decision against Seattle on Wednesday.

Advice: Pepiot only allowed three runners to reach in a solid showing that was spoiled by his bullpen after he was pulled in the sixth. For the fourth time this season, he struck out eight or more batters in a start. Despite the good strikeout numbers, the 26-year-old struggles to get deep into games as he has yet to pitch past the sixth inning in 14 starts. He'll take a 4.40 ERA and a 1.09 WHIP into his next start in Kansas City. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 12:43 pm

    • Receiving breather Wednesday
Ruiz is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Padres.

Advice: Ruiz will rest up after he started at catcher in each of the Nationals' last four games while going 3-for-13 with a pair of doubles and walks. Drew Millas will get the nod behind the dish in Ruiz's stead. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 12:12 pm

    • Getting day off Wednesday
O'Hoppe is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's contest versus the Athletics.

Advice: O'Hoppe had started each of the previous 11 games -- including 10 at catcher -- so the Angels determined it was time to give him a breather. Matt Thaiss will start behind the plate for the Halos in Wednesday's series finale. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:44 am
