    • Yordan Alvarez knocks in three in Astros’ win
Yordan Alvarez went 2-for-4 with a three-run double and a walk versus the Angels in Friday’s win.

Advice: Alvarez is 10-for-23 with three homers and nine RBI in six games this month, raising his OPS from .792 to .851. It’d be a big surprise if he’s not one of the AL’s best hitters the rest of the way. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:06 pm
    • Vierling on base twice in loss Friday
Matt Vierling went 1-for-3 with a walk against the Brewers on Friday.

Advice: It was a quiet night for the Tigers offense as they were shutout and managed only two hits. Still, Vierling got on base twice out of the leadoff spot. His average is up to .282 with a .794 OPS on the season. Obviously, he’s not going to put up big time run totals given the state of Detroit’s offense, but he’s been a viable option even in mixed leagues so far this season. • Taking seat Thursday
Fry is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Fry will take a seat for Thursday's series finale, as he had been scheduled to head to the bench Wednesday before that game was postponed due to inclement weather. Though his 1.092 OPS on the season ranks first in the majors among all players with at least 140 plate appearances, Fry still hasn't quite locked down a full-time role in Cleveland. He'll be out of the lineup for the second time in three games while the Guardians go with Bo Naylor at catcher and Kyle Manzardo at designated hitter. Rotowire.com Thursday, 7:20 am

    • Not starting Wednesday
Fry is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals.

Advice: Among all players with at least 140 plate appearances, Fry leads the majors with a 1.092 OPS on the season, but he still hasn't quite seized hold of a full-time role in Cleveland. He'll be on the bench for the second time in three games while the Guardians go with Bo Naylor at catcher and Kyle Manzardo at designated hitter. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 12:10 pm

    • Crosses plate three times Tuesday
Winker went 1-for-2 with a walk, a stolen base and three runs scored in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Mets.

Advice: The steal actually came on a botched pickoff, as Mets starter David Peterson had Winker dead to rights but Pete Alonso couldn't handle the pitcher's throw to first. It still goes into the books as Winker's 11th stolen base of the season, an incredible number considering he came into the year just 3-for-6 on the basepaths over 610 career big-league games. The 30-year-old outfielder is also locked in at the plate right now, batting .343 (12-for-35) with a .429 OBP over the last 11 contests, but his only extra-base hit among those dozen knocks is a double. • Records ninth steal Tuesday
Moore went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run in a win over the Athletics on Tuesday.

Advice: Moore didn't log one of his trademark extra-base hits, but he still found a way to make an impact by working himself into scoring position after his fourth-inning single with the help of his ninth steal. The 31-year-old remains in a multi-game funk, however, as he's just 3-for-25 over the last seven contests, a span during which he's reached via a trio of singles, one walk and three hit-by-pitches. • Drives in three Monday
Winker went 3-for-4 with a walk and three RBI in Monday's loss to the Mets.

Advice: All three hits were singles, but it was still a productive night for Winker. His performance was marred by a caught stealing to end the second inning, however -- one of many mistakes by the Nats in what proved to be a one-run loss. The 30-year-old outfielder is batting .333 (11-for-33) over the last 10 games, but his only extra-base hit during that stretch is a double, and his homer drought currently stands at 13 games. • Homers, stays hot in win
Alvarez went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run and two runs scored in a 7-4 win over the Cardinals on Monday.

Advice: Alvarez hit a two-run home run off Kyle Gibson in the third inning, then doubled and scored a run in the sixth. The homer was Alvarez's third in as many games, and he now has four multi-hit efforts in his past seven contests. While 27 RBI through 260 plate appearances is lower than expected, Alvarez is slashing .287/.362/.496 with 12 home runs and a career-high three stolen bases. Rotowire.com Monday, 9:00 pm
    • Alvarez hits 12th home run in win Monday
Yordan Alvarez went 2-for-3 with two runs scored, a walk and a two-run home run against the Cardinals on Monday.

Advice: The home run was Alvarez’ 12th of the season. He took Kyle Gibson deep in the third inning to put the Astros on the board and later scored on an RBI single by Jake Meyers. Alvarez’ 143 wRC+ this year is good, but it’s still below the 170 wRC+ he had last year and his career 162 wRC+. Rotoworld Monday, 8:22 pm
