    • Paul Sewald turns in hitless inning for save
Paul Seward pitched a hitless ninth with a one-run lead for his seventh save Thursday against the Padres.

Advice: Sewald has been about as tough as ever since returning from an oblique strain a month ago. He has a 0.87 ERA and is 7-for-7 saving games this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:11 pm
    • Collects seventh save
Sewald walked one and struck out one in a scoreless and hitless inning to earn the save in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Padres.

Advice: Sewald has three saves over four outings in June and is up to seven saves in as many chances this season. The closer has maintained excellent ratios as well with a 0.87 ERA, 0.48 WHIP and 11:2 K:BB over 10.1 innings. While the Diamondbacks have underwhelmed to limit Sewald's save chances, he's been nearly untouchable when called upon. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:58 pm
    • Secures save No. 6
Sewald earned the save Tuesday against the Giants. He plunked a batter but struck out two and did not allow a hit in the ninth inning.

Advice: Sewald was presented with a save opportunity after Mike Yastrzemski made it a three-run ballgame with his home run in the eighth. He began by hitting Thairo Estrada but faced no threat after that. He has not given up a run since his first appearance of the season and has allowed just three hits total while converting all six save chances. For the year, the 34-year-old boasts an 0.96 ERA, 0.43 WHIP and 10:1 K:BB in 9.1 innings. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 6:44 am
    • Paul Seward remains perfect in save opportunities
Paul Sewald struck out two in a scoreless ninth for a save Tuesday against the Giants.

Advice: Sewald hit Thairo Estrada on his elbow guard to begin the ninth, but he faced no further threat. It was his sixth save in six tries since he came off the injured list a month ago. He’s gone nine straight outings without allowing a run. Rotoworld Tuesday, 10:51 pm
    • Notches fifth save
Sewald picked up the save Sunday against the Mets, striking out one in a perfect ninth inning.

Advice: Sewald has been nigh unhittable lately, allowing just one baserunner over his past six appearances. The 34-year-old veteran has not allowed an earned run since his season debut back on May 7 and he is now a perfect five-for-five in save opportunities with a microscopic 1.08 ERA and 0.48 WHIP in 8.1 innings. • Crumbles against Yankees
Doval (2-1) allowed four runs on four hits and two walks in a blown save chance Sunday. He recorded two outs while taking a loss against the Yankees.

Advice: Doval entered the game with a 5-3 lead in the ninth inning and was quickly jumped by the top of the Yankees' lineup. With one out in the inning, he yielded an RBI triple to Anthony Volpe, a go-ahead, two-run shot to Juan Soto and an RBI double to Giancarlo Stanton. Doval had allowed four earned runs over his previous 15.2 innings before Sunday's ugly outing. His ERA shot up from 2.78 to 4.24 with a 30:17 K:BB through 23.1 frames. • Camilo Doval suffers blown save against Yankees
Camilo Doval suffered a brutal blown save on Sunday afternoon against the Yankees, giving up four runs on four hits in 2/3 of an inning.

Advice: Oof. The right-hander came on with a 5-3 lead to protect, but things got away from him in a hurry. Gleyber Torres started the inning with a single, then Anthony Volpe smacked a one-out RBI triple that narrowed the gap. Juan Soto then clobbered a go-ahead two-run homer to give the Yankees the lead. Doval kept fighting though, issuing a walk to Aaron Judge, an RBI double to Giancarlo Stanton and a walk to Alex Verdugo before uncorking a wild pitch that advanced both runners. He rallied to punch out DJ LeMahieu though before turning the ball over to Taylor Rogers to get the final out. He’s still locked in as the Giants’ closer, but his 4.24 ERA is no longer looking as spectacular and another blowup or two and Giants’ manager Bob Melvin may want to go another direction. • Paul Sewald grabs save
Paul Sewald pitched a clean ninth inning to earn the save against the Mets on Sunday. He struck out one batter.

Advice: Sewald seems to relish the opportunity to close games against the organization that gave up on him and did so on back-to-back days this weekend. This was the first time all season the Diamondbacks used Sewald on consecutive days as he continues to get more comfortable since returning from injury. Rotoworld Sunday, 1:47 pm
