The Angels reinstated Sano (knee) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday.
Advice: Knee inflammation has kept Sano sidelined since the beginning of May. He was medically cleared to return from the IL on Saturday; however, poor performance during his rehab assignment combined with a cluttered Angels roster caused him to remain at Triple-A Salt Lake for a few additional days. He went 6-for-10 with a homer and four RBI in his last two rehab games and will now rejoin the Halos' infield unit, replacing Michael Stefanic. Rotowire.comYesterday, 2:46 pm
Brandon Drury out fifth straight game due to illness
Brandon Drury (illness) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Athletics.
Advice: Drury has managed to somehow avoid a trip to the injured list, but he remains out of Los Angeles’ lineup for the fifth consecutive contest due to an ongoing battle with a respiratory virus. It’ll be defensive ace Luis Guillorme filling in at the keystone in his ongoing absence. RotoworldYesterday, 2:40 pm
Angels activated INF Miguel Sanó from the 10-day injured list.
Advice: Sanó is back with Los Angeles following a two-month absence due to a left knee injury, and a bizarre setback when he suffered a serious burn after falling asleep with a heating pad on that same knee. The 31-year-old slugger has one round-tripper in 21 games this season for the Angels. RotoworldYesterday, 2:34 pm
Ben Rice is not in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Mets.
Advice: Rice takes a seat on New York’s bench with Mets southpaw David Peterson toeing the rubber. It’ll be newly-acquired veteran J.D. Davis drawing his first start at the cold corner on Tuesday night in his place. The 25-year-old prospect is batting .294 (5-for-17) with one RBI in 21 plate appearances over six games since getting the call to the majors last week. RotoworldYesterday, 1:32 pm
Vaughn is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Dodgers.
Advice: Vaughn will be out of the lineup for the first time since dealing with a finger injury at the start of June, giving way to Gavin Sheets at first base Tuesday. After logging a seven-game hit streak, Vaughn has gone 0-for-8 in his last two games. Rotowire.comYesterday, 1:17 pm
Rice is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mets.
Advice: With J.D. Davis joining the Yankees roster, Rice is expected to enter the strong side of a platoon with Davis at first base. Rice will take a seat Tuesday for the first time since being called up June 18 as the Mets trot out southpaw David Peterson. Rotowire.comYesterday, 1:11 pm
O'Hearn is absent from the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Guardians, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
Advice: As per usual, O'Hearn will be held out of the lineup with the Orioles facing a southpaw, as Logan Allen takes the mound for Cleveland on Tuesday. O'Hearn is riding a five-game hit streak, batting 7-for-22 with eight RBI during that span. Rotowire.comYesterday, 11:44 am
Montero is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game in Houston.
Advice: It marks the fourth straight game that Montero has been out of the lineup, although he did make one pinch-hitting appearance over that stretch. The recent emergence of Michael Toglia has put the squeeze on Montero's playing time, and his .581 OPS hasn't helped, either. Rotowire.comYesterday, 11:42 am
Urias is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Guardians, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
Advice: Urias had drawn three consecutive starts at third base, but he'll give way to Jordan Westburg on Tuesday. During those three starts, Urias went 0-for-10 and snapped a seven-game hit streak. Rotowire.comYesterday, 11:35 am
