    Advice: Hernaiz suffered the injury during Tuesday's contest versus the Rangers when he stepped awkwardly on first base while trying to beat out an infield hit.     Advice: This is a bit of a surprise. The Brewers needed to make a roster move for Christian Yelich and the team decided to send down Black. The 23-year-old had three hits in his first two games with the Brewers, but had just two hits in his past five games.     The Brewers reinstated Yelich (back) from the 10-day injured list Wednesday. He'll serve as the Brewers' designated hitter and will bat third in the team's series finale in Kansas City.

    Advice: Milwaukee optioned infielder Tyler Black to Triple-A Nashville to clear room on the 26-man active roster for Yelich, who had been on the shelf since April 16 with a lower-back strain. Despite missing well beyond the minimum 10 days, Yelich will return to the lineup without having gone on a minor-league rehab assignment, as the Brewers were encouraged enough with how his back responded to baseball activities over the past few days to activate him. He'll be eased back into action in a non-defensive role, and Yelich could end up seeing more work at DH over the next week or two before gradually settling into his usual spot in left field.     Advice: Soderstrom has slashed .245/.353/.529 with seven home runs over 27 games at Las Vegas this season.     Advice: Ingram was cast off the 40-man roster after the Rangers needed to open up a spot for outfielder/designated hitter Robbie Grossman, whom the team acquired from the White Sox on Wednesday. After being claimed off waivers from the Mets on April 24, Ingram didn't make any appearances for Texas, as he had been pitching in relief at Triple-A Round Rock.     Turnbull threw two innings of relief Tuesday against the Blue Jays, walking one but allowing no hits or runs.

    Advice: Turnbull was expected to pitch in some sort of piggyback setup with Cristopher Sanchez, but Tuesday's game didn't entirely fit that pattern. Sanchez threw seven innings of one-run ball before turning it over to Turnbull in the eighth with the Phillies up 8-1. Turnbull's outing therefore wound up looking much more like traditional low-leverage relief work than a proper piggybacking arrangement.
