    • Homers twice versus Cleveland
Horwitz went 2-for-3 with two solo home runs, two walks and three runs scored in Sunday's 6-5 loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Horwitz walked and came around to score on a home run from Vladimir Guerrero in the top of the first. Horwitz later added two long balls of his own, taking Triston McKenzie deep for a solo shot in the third before adding another blast off reliever Darren McCaughan in the fifth. After going without a homer for in his first 12 games this season, the 26-year-old notched his first pair Sunday. On the season, Horwitz is now batting .366 with two home runs, five RBI and six runs scored over 41 at-bats in 13 contests. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:31 pm
    • Spencer Horwitz smacks two homers
Spencer Horwitz went 2-for-3 with two home runs, two walks, two RBI, and three runs scored on Sunday against the Guardians.

Advice: Horwitz had his best game of the season in this one. The two homers were each hit at least 102.9 MPH and great to see, but his ninth inning walk against Emmanuel Clase was especially impressive. He fought off seven pitches on his way to a 12-pitch at-bat as the tying run off one of the best relievers in baseball. The Blue Jays continue to show their faith in him too as he’s hit either first or second in every game he’s started since being called up. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:35 pm
    • Absent from lineup
Horwitz is not in the lineup for Friday's contest in Cleveland.

Advice: After starting five straight games following his promotion, Horwitz has now been on the bench three times in the last seven contests, including twice against right-handers. Orelvis Martinez is getting the call at second base Friday. Rotowire.com Friday, 1:43 pm
    • Spencer Horwitz not in Blue Jays lineup on Friday
Spencer Horwitz is not in the Blue Jays’ starting lineup for Friday night’s contest against the Guardians in Cleveland.

Advice: The versatile 26-year-old has found his way into the lineup against most opposing right-handed pitchers, but that’s not the case against Carlos Carrasco on Friday night. Horwitz has hit well in his limited time with the Jays — slashing .353/.450/.412 with three RBI and a 5/6 K/BB ratio over his first 40 plate appearances. Orelvis Martinez will start in his place at second base and bat eighth for the Jays. Rotoworld Friday, 1:27 pm
    • Adds finishing touch in win
Walker went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Thursday's 5-2 win over Washington.

Advice: Walker provided an insurance run with a solo blast in the ninth inning for his team-leading 17th home run of the season and fifth in the last eight games. He also leads the Diamondbacks with 50 RBI. The 33-year-old can still bring it, as Walker possesses top-shelf bat speed (89th percentile), average exit velocity (84th percentile), barrel rate (97th percentile) and hard-hit rate (88th percentile). • Spencer Horwitz with two hits out of lead-off spot
Spencer Horwitz went 2-for-4 with a walk on Wednesday against the Red Sox.

Advice: The Blue Jays are giving Horwitz an opportunity at the top of their lineup as he’s hit first or second in all 10 of his starts since being called-up. He’s done well there, too with more walks than strikeouts and a .353/.450/.412 slash line so far. There isn’t much power, but getting on base at the top of any lineup is valuable. • Christian Walker scores lone run in loss to Nats
Christian Walker went 1-for-4 and scored the Diamondbacks’ lone run in Wednesday’s loss to the Nationals.

Advice: The only run that the Diamondbacks were able to scratch out against Patrick Corbin and company on Wednesday afternoon came as Gabriel Moreno worked a bases-loaded walk in the third inning that allowed Walker to score. The 33-year-old slugger has been a force in the middle of the Diamondbacks’ lineup once again this season — slashing .255/.333/.475 with 16 homers, 49 RBI and a pair of stolen bases. • Exiting lineup Monday
Horwitz is out of the lineup for Monday's game versus the Red Sox.

Advice: Horwitz had started each of the last seven games versus right-handers upon his promotion from Triple-A Buffalo on June 7 and batted either first or second in all of those contests, but he will begin Monday's series opener on the bench. Davis Schneider gets the call at second base and will serve as the Blue Jays' leadoff batter against Red Sox right-hander Nick Pivetta. Rotowire.com Monday, 12:43 pm
    • Launches another homer
Walker went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, a two-RBI double and an additional run scored during Sunday's 12-5 win over the White Sox.

Advice: Walker slugged his fourth home run of the last five games, taking Drew Thorpe yard in the first inning. The first baseman didn't stop there, adding a single off Thorpe in the third and plating Geraldo Perdomo and Corbin Carroll with a fourth-inning double for Walker's first three-hit game since April 30. Walker trails only Josh Naylor for the most home runs among first basemen and owns an .820 OPS. Rotowire.com Jun 16, 7:22 pm
