• Swipes bag Sunday
Melendez went 2-for-4 with a double and a stolen base in Sunday's 3-2 extra-inning loss to the Rangers.

Advice: This was Melendez's first multi-hit effort since April 19 -- he went 2-for-36 over the previous 12 contests. The 25-year-old started the year hot, batting .325 over his first 12 games, but he's since returned to his career norms. He's slashing a poor .186/.252/.363 with four home runs, two steals, 12 RBI, nine runs scored and six doubles over 111 plate appearances. Despite the poor batting, Melendez is still seeing a majority of the playing time in left field, keeping Nelson Velazquez at designated hitter and Dairon Blanco on the bench. • J.T. Realmuto collects three hits as Phillies roll
J.T. Realmuto went 3-for-4 and scored a run as the Phillies triumphed over the Giants on Sunday evening in Philadelphia.

Advice: Realmuto — hitting in the second slot of the lineup with Trea Turner (hamstring) shelved — singled in the third inning and rode home on Bryce Harper’s three-run blast. He added an infield single in the fourth inning and another in the sixth before all was said and done. With the three-hit attack, the 33-year-old backstop is now hitting .259/.315/.431 to go with five homers, 14 RBI and one stolen base (in three attempts). Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:11 pm
  • Jonah Heim hits ninth-inning homer in Rangers’ win
Jonah Heim hit a game-tying homer in the ninth Sunday as the Rangers beat the Royals 3-2 in 10 innings.

Advice: Heim got off to a slow start over the first 10 days, but he’s settled in nicely since, batting .296 with four homers and 16 RBI in his last 21 games. The Rangers have occasionally batted him as low as eighth and ninth, but he was in the fifth spot today against a lefty and he could hit a little higher versus righties with Wyatt Langford out. • Lifts second homer
Stallings went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Sunday against the Pirates.

Advice: Stallings put the Rockies on the board with the second-inning blast against his former club. Despite serving as the second catcher in Colorado, Stallings has been effective on offense when given the opportunity with a hitting streak that's spanned the last seven games he's played in since April 17. He's hit .400 over that stretch with two homers, six RBI and four runs scored, lifting his season average to .351 in the process. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:49 pm
  • Cal Raleigh hits go-ahead homer in Mariners’ win
Cal Raleigh hit a tiebreaking homer in the top of the ninth Sunday as the Mariners edged the Astros 5-4.

Advice: Two big homers in two days for Raleigh, who now has eight longballs on the season. He’s actually just 3-for-35 at the plate in his last 10 games, but he’s making those hits count. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:01 pm
  • Homers in loss
Contreras went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and three strikeouts in Sunday's 5-1 loss to the White Sox.

Advice: Contreras accounted for all the offense for St. Louis on Sunday, launching a solo shot off of Garrett Crochet in the bottom of the fourth inning. The long ball was his sixth of the year and second in the last four contests. Contreras is now batting .275 with six home runs, 11 RBI, 18 runs scored and two stolen bases over 102 at-bats in 29 games in 2024. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:57 pm
  • Willson Contreras goes deep in loss to White Sox
Willson Contreras clubbed his sixth home run of the season on Sunday afternoon, accounting for the entirety of the Cardinals’ offense in a loss to the White Sox.

Advice: The 31-year-old backstop tagged White Sox’ left-hander Garrett Crochet for his 426-foot (111.4 mph EV) solo shot in the fourth inning, tying the game at 1-1. That would be their only scoring in the ballgame. Contreras struck out in each of his other three plate appearances in the contest, finishing the day 1-for-4. On the season, he’s now hitting .275/.398/.539 to go along with six homers, 11 RBI and a pair of stolen bases. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:16 pm
