    • Rowdy Tellez stays hot with three more hits in win
Rowdy Tellez went 3-for-4 with a solo homer on Wednesday in the Pirates’ extra-inning victory over the Cardinals.

Advice: Tellez went deep of Cardinals reliever Giovanny Gallegos in the seventh inning for his fifth round-tripper of the season. The 29-year-old first baseman was ice-cold at the dish to open the year, but appears to have re-discovered his form of late, batting .340 (17-for-50) with three homers over his last 15 games. He’s batting an absurd .409 (9-for-22) over his last seven contests alone. He’s absolutely put himself back on mixed-league radar screens with his recent hot streak. • Miles Mikolas rebounds Wednesday with quality start
Miles Mikolas struck out four and allowed two runs over six innings on Wednesday in a no-decision against the Pirates.

Advice: Mikolas was long gone before this one was decided in extra innings, but he still managed to get through six frames without any major implosions, unlike his last time out when he was torched for 10 runs (nine earned) over 4 1/3 innings against the Reds. The 35-year-old veteran righty will aim to keep the momentum going on Monday when he faces off against the Nationals in a road matchup. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:47 pm
    • Brayan Bello whiffs seven in victory over Marlins
Brayan Bello recorded seven strikeouts and surrendered one run over 6 2/3 innings on Wednesday in a win over the Marlins.

Advice: Bello served up a run-scoring single to Jesús Sánchez in the opening frame, but managed to settle in shortly afterwards, keeping Miami off the scoreboard until the late innings of this one before turning things over to Boston’s bullpen with two outs in the seventh inning. It was a much-needed rebound performance for the 25-year-old righty after getting knocked around for seven runs over 2 1/3 innings his last time out against the Blue Jays. He’ll bring a pedestrian 5.19 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 71/30 K/BB ratio across 78 innings (15 starts) into an extremely favorable home matchup on Tuesday in his penultimate outing prior to the All-Star break. • Trevor Rogers lasts only three frames vs. Red Sox
Trevor Rogers struck out six and was charged with two runs over three innings on Wednesday in a loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: Rogers struggled to throw strikes, and certainly wasn’t long for this one, as he got a quick hook after needing a whopping 84 pitches (52 strikes) to complete three frames. He somehow managed to avoid serious damage, despite plenty of action on the basepaths as he surrendered five hits and also issued three walks over three frames. The 26-year-old lefty has been a non-factor this season for fantasy managers with a bloated 4.91 ERA, 1.60 WHIP and 70/39 K/BB ratio across 84 1/3 innings (17 starts). He’ll square off against the Astros on Tuesday in his penultimate first-half outing. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:39 pm
    • Luis García Jr. smacks two home runs in win
Luis García Jr. went 2-for-3 with two home runs, four RBI, three runs scored, and a walk in the Nationals’ 7-5 win over the Mets on Wednesday.

Advice: This was and second multi-homer game in García’s and each one was mightily important to the Nationals’ victory. His first was a moonshot off a hanging Christian Scott sweeper that cut the Mets’ lead from 5-1 to 5-4 and his next provided a valuable insurance run in the eighth inning. The two home runs pushed García to nine on the season, already tying his career-best mark set last season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:36 pm

    • Gavin Williams hit hard Wednesday in season debut
Gavin Williams was lit up for five runs over four innings on Wednesday in his season debut against the White Sox.

Advice: Williams looked sharp in his final few minor league rehab outings, so this certainly qualifies as an unexpected clunker, especially considering Chicago’s offensive struggles this season. The 24-year-old former top pitching prospect allowed a run-scoring single in the opening frame, but kept the White Sox off the scoreboard into the fourth inning before coughing up four runs on five hits in a disastrous frame. Perhaps the more concerning variable here for fantasy purposes is that he mustered just a pair of strikeouts in his long-awaited season debut. He’ll aim for better results his next time out on Monday against the division-rival Tigers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:18 pm
    • Harrison Bader (neck) held out of lineup Wednesday
Harrison Bader (neck) was held out of the Mets’ starting lineup on Wednesday.

Advice: Bader was pulled from Tuesday’s game as a precautionary measure after he crashed awkwardly into the wall in right-center field. He’s going to test things out pregame on Wednesday to determine whether or not he’ll be available off of the bench. He should still be considered day-to-day. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:20 pm

    • Resting Wednesday
Bader (head) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against Washington.

Advice: Bader was removed from Tuesday's game with a head injury after crashing into the outfield wall while trying to make a catch. Although he cleared all testing following the incident, the Mets will still give the 30-year-old the night off. Tyrone Taylor will bat seventh and fill center field. • Rejoining lineup Wednesday
Martinez (ankle) will be in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nationals, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Advice: The 36-year-old was scratched from Tuesday's starting nine due to ankle soreness, which apparently surfaced because he was forced to try out a new pair of cleats. Martinez has since received another shipment of his usual cleats and shouldn't have any issues going forward. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:35 pm
