    Advice: Hicks' outing was marred by a rough third inning in which he hit a batter, allowed two steals and gave up a homer and triple among three hits during the three-run frame. Otherwise, Hicks faced just two batters over the minimum during the other four innings, recording at least seven strikeouts for the fourth time this season.   • Records quality start Thursday
    Imanaga allowed three runs on five hits across six innings but did not factor into the decision in Thursday's 5-3, 10-inning win over the Giants. He walked two and struck out three.

    Advice: This was a nice bounceback effort for Imanaga, who allowed 10 runs in his last outing against the surging Mets. The righty had a sparkling 1.89 ERA before that implosion, but he's still sitting with a solid 3.07 mark across his first 15 starts at the MLB level. While it was unlikely that Imanaga would continue his early-season dominance, he should still be a strong fantasy option moving forward.   • Trea Turner reaches three times in losing effort
    Trea Turner went 2-for-4 with three runs scored on Thursday in the Phillies’ loss to the Marlins.

    Advice: Turner also drew a walk in this one, reaching base safely in three of his five plate appearances. The 30-year-old shortstop is batting .300 (12-for-40) with one homer and zero steals since returning from the injured list back on June 17. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:27 pm

    Jordan Hicks gave up three runs in five innings while striking out seven against the Cubs on Thursday, but he didn’t factor into the decision.

    Advice: All three runs were given up in the third, as he gave up a two-run homer to Nico Hoerner and an RBI triple to Seiya Suzuki. The right-hander was strong outside of that frame while showing off his swing-and-miss stuff.   • Shota Imanaga gets quality start against Giants
    Shota Imanaga allowed three runs in six innings of work in a no-decision against the Giants on Thursday.

    Advice: Imanaga allowed five hits while walking two and fanning three. It’s a marked improvement over his struggled against the Mets on Friday where he allowed 10 runs on 3 1/3 innings, but far from the excellence that we saw from the southpaw earlier in the year. It’s worth noting he threw five scoreless in this one, however, before a three-spot came across in the sixth. He still picks up a quality start while possessing a strong — if climbing — 3.07 ERA.     Heim went 2-for-3 with a solo home run during Wednesday's 6-5 loss to Milwaukee in 10 innings.

    Advice: Heim and Nathaniel Lowe hit back-to-back homers in the fourth inning, snapping a 12-game homerless streak for Heim. The outing was also Heim's first multi-hit game since June 5.     Chourio went 2-for-4 with an inside-the-park home run and an additional run scored during Wednesday's 6-5 extra-inning win over the Rangers.

    Advice: Chourio showcased his blazing speed Wednesday, notching his second inside-the-parker of 2024 in the fourth inning after Derek Hill misplayed Chourio's line drive to center field.     Singer came away with a no-decision in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Marlins, allowing one run on five hits and a walk over seven innings. He struck out five.

    Advice: The right-hander delivered his sixth quality start of the season on 92 pitches (63 strikes) and completed seven innings for the first time since his first outing of the year, March 31 against the Twins. Despite the impressive performance, Singer left the mound in line for his fifth loss before the Royals' offense woke up in the bottom of the eighth inning.   • Manny Machado has two hits in victory over Nats
    Manny Machado went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles and a run scored as the Padres bested the Nationals on Wednesday afternoon in San Diego.

    Advice: Machado led off the eighth inning with a single off of Tanner Rainey, then rode home on Kyle Higashioka’s grand slam. With his two-hit attack on Wednesday, the 31-year-old superstar third baseman is now hitting .264/.316/.390 on the season to go along with eight homers, 40 RBI and five stolen bases.
