• Swipes eighth bag
Marte went 2-for-5 with a run scored and a stolen base in Thursday's extra-innings win over the Phillies.

Advice: It's the fourth multi-hit performance for Marte in May, but he has just four total hits in his other 10 contests on the month. The veteran outfielder is a perfect 8-for-8 on the season in steal attempts though, keeping his fantasy value afloat despite a lackluster .259/.305/.370 slash line that comes with four homers, 15 RBI and 21 runs in 35 games. • Jackson Chourio swats 441-foot homer in blowout
Jackson Chourio went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer on Wednesday in the Brewers’ blowout win over the Pirates.

Advice: Chourio obliterated a 441-foot no-doubter to left field off Pirates veteran lefty Martín Pérez in the sixth inning for his fifth round-tripper of the season. The 20-year-old top prospect has undoubtedly been scuffling at the plate recently, but this was the type of moonshot that could potentially get him going again. It was his first time leaving the yard since April 20. He’s still a work in progress, but he’s shown flashes of immense five-category fantasy upside so far in his Brewers debut. It’s only a matter of time before he makes the leap to superstardom. Rotoworld Wednesday, 12:56 pm
  • Gets fourth straight start
Chourio will start in left field and bat eighth in Wednesday's game against the Pirates.

Advice: Chourio was on the bench for a stretch of four straight games from last Wednesday through Saturday, but he's now picked up starts in each of the subsequent four contests. Though he's reached base only twice over his last nine contests and carries a weak .579 OPS for the season into Wednesday's game, Chourio could nonetheless continue to see near-everyday playing time while Jake Bauers sees less time in the corner outfield and fills in at first base for the injured Rhys Hoskins (hamstring). Additionally, the struggling Blake Perkins -- who sat against right-handed starting pitchers both of the previous two days -- seems to have moved into more of a fourth-outfielder role of late. • Marcell Ozuna plates two in tough loss to Mets
Marcell Ozuna smacked a go-ahead RBI single in the eighth inning on Sunday night, but it still wasn’t enough to lead the Braves past the Mets.

Advice: Ozuna gave the Braves the lead in the sixth inning with an RBI single off of Reed Garrett that made it a 2-1 ballgame. They then entered the eighth inning locked in a 2-2 tie, but got things started as Zack Short worked Adam Ottavino for a leadoff walk. He then swiped second base and raced around to score on Ozuna’s run-scoring single. The 33-year-old slugger finished the night 2-for-3 plus a walk and is slashing a robust .326/.404/.638 with 12 homers and a league-leading 40 RBI. Rotoworld Sunday, 7:14 pm

  • Three-run homer in loss
Castellanos went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Sunday's 7-6 extra-inning loss to the Marlins.

Advice: Castellanos took Miami starter Braxton Garrett deep for a three-run shot in the top of the first inning, giving the Phillies an early 3-0 lead. The long ball was his fourth of the season and second homer in his last three contests. Castellanos has now secured at least one hit in eight consecutive games, batting .322 with two home runs, seven RBI, eight runs scored and a stolen base over 31 at-bats during that stretch. • Jackson Chourio goes 0-for-2 in return to lineup
After sitting out four straight games, Jackson Chourio went 0-for-2 with a walk in his return to the lineup Sunday against the Cardinals.

Advice: Chourio had a nicely hit liner, but it was caught by Brandon Crawford at short. The Brewers could have sent Chourio down last week, but they thought the break to work on things was a better idea. One imagines he’ll have to turn things around over the next 7-10 days in order to avoid a stint in Triple-A. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:46 pm
  • Alex Verdugo taking seat Sunday against Rays
Alex Verdugo is out of the lineup Sunday against the Rays.

Advice: Verdugo has gone hitless over the last four games and has hit just .171 in the month of May. He’ll get a day off with Jahmai Jones getting the start in left field and hitting ninth. Oswaldo Cabrera is also out of the lineup Sunday with Jon Berti getting a start at third in Cabrera’s absence. Rotoworld Sunday, 8:24 am

  • Sitting against southpaw
Verdugo is out of the lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Rays.

Advice: With southpaw Tyler Alexander taking the hill for the Rays on Sunday, the righty-hitting Jahmai Jones will start in left field and bat ninth in place of the lefty-hitting Verdugo. Verdugo has gone 0-for-8 with three strikeouts over his last two games. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:22 am

  • Nick Castellanos goes deep in victory over Marlins
Nick Castellanos clubbed his third home run of the season on Friday night as the Phillies crushed the Marlins in Miami.

Advice: Castellanos opened the scoring in the contest with his 400-foot (104.4 mph EV) solo shot off of Trevor Rogers in the second inning. That would be his only hit in five at-bats on the night. For the season, the 32-year-old slugger is hitting an underwhelming .207/.268/.303 with just three homers and 13 RBI. Rotoworld Friday, 7:08 pm
