Advice: Ryan was excellent Friday, holding Pittsburgh to just two runs over seven innings. However, the Twins couldn't muster anything against Mitch Keller in an eventual 3-0 defeat. Despite the loss, it was a strong bounce-back effort from Ryan after he allowed five runs in five innings in a loss to Houston in his last outing. The right-hander now sports a 3.30 ERA with a 0.97 WHIP and 85:13 K:BB across 79 innings. Ryan's currently in line for a home matchup with the Rockies in his next start. Lopez (5-6) took the loss against the Yankees on Thursday, allowing seven runs on four hits and six walks while striking out four batters over four innings.

Advice: Lopez threw just 54 of 96 pitches for strikes and issued a season-high six walks -- more than he had handed out over his previous seven starts combined. Three of the free passes came to consecutive batters leading off the third frame, and all three of the recipients came around to score. The wildness was probably an aberration for Lopez considering his overall track record, but even when he's finding the strike zone, he's been struggling to get batters out. Pepiot (4-2) earned the win over the Marlins on Tuesday, allowing three runs on six hits over six innings. He struck out eight.

Advice: Pepiot got off to an ugly start Tuesday, allowing three runs in the opening frame. However, he'd proceed to blank Miami over his final five frames while allowing just one additional hit while the Rays rallied for a 9-5 victory. The 26-year-old Pepiot now has 15 strikeouts over his last two starts (11.2 innings). His ERA sits at 3.96 on the season with a 0.96 WHIP and 59:16 K:BB across 10 outings (52.1 innings). Gore (4-5) took the loss Monday against the Mets, allowing six earned runs on seven hits and four walks in 4.1 innings. He struck out two.

Advice: Gore loaded the bases with one out in the fifth inning before departing, unfortunately reliever Dylan Floro allowed all three runners to score, adding three earned runs to Gore's stat line. Monday's outing was very uncharacteristic for the southpaw, who recorded a season-low two strikeouts and allowed more than two earned runs for the first time since April 19. After tonight's rough outing, the 25-year-old sports a 3.57 ERA, a 1.37 WHIP and 74 strikeouts in 63 innings pitched. Brown (1-2) allowed five runs on six hits across five innings to take the loss Sunday against the Reds. He walked one and struck out six.

Advice: Brown actually pitched decently, but he was done in by a three-run home run by TJ Friedl and a lack of run support in the 5-2 loss. The five runs allowed are the rookie's most since he gave up six in his MLB debut back on March 30. Outside of the few hiccups, Brown has been pretty solid, and he's still sitting with a strong 3.33 ERA across 51.1 innings to go along with 61 strikeouts. The righty is penciled in to start again on Saturday against this same Cincinnati squad, though the pending return of Jordan Wicks (forearm) could push Brown out of the rotation after that.
