• Matthew Liberatore to start for Cardinals Sunday
Matthew Liberatore will start for the Cardinals in Sunday’s series finale against the White Sox.

Advice: Liberatore has been pitching out of the Cardinals’ bullpen all season and has thrown more than 20 pitches in an outing just once since March 30. Needless to say, he shouldn’t be expected to work deep into Sunday’s game and doesn’t make for a strong streaming option. Rotoworld 30 minutes ago

  • Getting spot start Sunday
Liberatore will start Sunday's game against the White Sox, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

Advice: All 12 of Liberatore's appearances this season have come in relief, so while he did throw three innings in an April 28 appearance, this will be a bullpen game for the Cardinals. However, it's possible Liberatore could earn additional starts if he pitches well, as the Cards need to fill the rotation spot vacated by the injured Steven Matz (back). • Tanner Banks earns save in tenth vs. Cardinals
Tanner Banks struck out the final batter in the bottom of the tenth to earn the save against the Cardinals on Saturday.

Advice: The contest between the Cardinals and White Sox went into a rain delay with the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the tenth. Banks took the mound after a three-hour delay to close it out with a one-run lead. He struck out Iván Herrera to end the game with his first save of the season. Rotoworld Today, 5:42 pm
  • Blake Treinen (lung) will be activated on Sunday
Dodgers’ manager Dave Roberts told reporters on Saturday that Blake Treinen (lung) will be activated from the injured list on Sunday.

Advice: Roberts also said that he won’t be easing Treinen back into action and that he won’t hesitate to use him in high-leverage situations from the get-go. The 35-year-old right-hander should provide a major boost to the back end of the Dodgers’ bullpen, but it’s unlikely that he takes too many save chances away from Evan Phillips. • David Bednar earns win with scoreless ninth
David Bednar tossed a scoreless inning with one strikeout to earn the win against the Rockies on Saturday.

Advice: Bender entered in the top of the ninth with the game scoreless. He tossed a clean frame, striking out one batter to send it tied to the bottom of the ninth. The Pirates would walk it off, giving Bednar the win. It a positive sign for the closer after giving up runs in each of his last three outings. Rotoworld Today, 3:31 pm

  • Battling back tightness
Leone was removed from Saturday's game against the Cardinals due to lower-back tightness, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Advice: Leone entered the game in the eighth inning and was only able to get through one batter -- a five-pitch walk to Nolan Arenado -- before coming out of the game. The team officially labeled Leone as day-to-day, so his injury doesn't seem to be too severe, but the 32-year-old righty may take a few days off before pitching again. • Héctor Neris records sixth save against Brewers
Héctor Neris allowed one run in the ninth inning, holding on for the save against the Brewers on Saturday.

Advice: It hasn’t come easy for Neris, but he just keeps getting by in the ninth inning. He was summoned with a two-run lead against the Brewers and gave up a run on two hits and a walk before closing it out for his sixth save. Mark Letter Jr. tossed two scoreless innings with three strikeouts before handing it over to Neris. He’ll be someone to watch if Neris struggles to convert saves going forward. • Cole Sands picks up save against Red Sox Saturday
Cole Sands picked up his second save of the season on Saturday, working a scoreless ninth inning to preserve a two-run lead against the Red Sox.

Advice: Twins’ manager Rocco Baldelli turned to his closer, Jhoan Duran, to face the heart of the Red Sox’ lineup in the eighth inning, leaving Sands to clean it up in the ninth. He did his job admirably, getting Garrett Cooper on a ground ball to second base, David Hamilton on a swinging third strike and Reese McGuire on a line drive to first base to end it. The 26-year-old hurler shouldn’t get many save chances with Duran and Griffin Jax in the Twins’ bullpen, but he’ll get the occasional opportunity based on matchups. Rotoworld Today, 1:52 pm

  • Making rehab start Sunday
Marsh (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Omaha on Sunday.

Advice: Manager Matt Quatraro hinted Friday toward sending Marsh out on a rehab assignment, and the 25-year-old righty will now officially build back up with Omaha. Starting Sunday would put Marsh in line to return to Kansas City's rotation Friday against the Angels, though it's unclear if the Royals will want to keep him in the minors for multiple starts.
