Diaz went 3-for-3 with two walks and a run scored Saturday against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Diaz has gotten on track at the plate across the last two weeks, with Saturday's performance marking his eighth multi-hit performance across his last 15 games. He's gone 23-for-63 with 12 RBI and 10 runs scored, also chipping in a pair of home runs. Overall, Diaz owns a 106 wRC+ but just a .097 ISO across 206 plate appearances for the season. • Nearing return
Jones (back) is expected to be recalled from his rehab assignment following Sunday's game with Triple-A Albuquerque, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Jones has appeared in three games with Albuquerque, starting twice in left field and once at designated hitter. He's lined up for a fourth appearance Sunday and will rejoin the big-league club as it travels to Oakland. Assuming all goes according to plan, it appears that Jones will be activated for the first game of the series on Tuesday. Rotowire.com 24 minutes ago

    • Stuck with loss Saturday
Cano (2-2) allowed two runs on two hits in one-third of an inning to take the loss Saturday versus the Mariners.

Advice: Cano allowed the first two batters to reach base in the eighth inning, giving up one run in the process. Cionel Perez also allowed an inherited runner to score, and the Orioles couldn't overcome the deficit. This is the first time Cano has given up multiple earned runs in an appearance all season, and just the second time he's given up more than one run of any kind. He's now at a 2.95 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 18:9 K:BB while adding two saves and 10 holds over 21.1 innings. The late-inning mix in Baltimore remains in flux, and Cano isn't doing himself any favors with three runs allowed over his last 1.1 innings across three appearances. Rotowire.com 48 minutes ago
    • Productive in extra-innings loss
Adell went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, two walks and a stolen base in Saturday's 3-2 extra-innings loss to the Rangers.

Advice: Adell has gone 9-for-36 (.250) with four homers, nine RBI and one steal over his last 10 contests. The outfielder is up to eight homers, 21 RBI, 20 runs scored, eight steals, four doubles, a triple and a .250/.320/.528 slash line through 122 plate appearances. Adell has had some brief successful stints in previous years, but he's finally sticking in a full-time role in right field in 2024 since the Angels have few better options available. • Jo Adell homers in extra-innings loss to Rangers
Jo Adell homered and walked twice in an extra-innings loss to the Rangers on Saturday.

Advice: Adell took Jose Leclerc deep to give the Angels a 2-1 lead and Adell his eighth homer of the season. The 25-year-old has really impressed thus far in 2024, as the three-reach game now has his OPS up to .847 to go along with eight steals and 21 RBI over 108 at-bats. It’s too early for victory laps, but those who have believed in Adell since he was a prospect have to feel a little more sane watching this run. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:03 pm

    • San Diego-Atlanta game postponed
Darvish and the Padres will not play Saturday after their game in Atlanta was postponed due to inclement weather.

Advice: The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Monday. Darvish will be pushed back a day to start Sunday, which would also mean delaying Joe Musgrove's (elbow) return from the injured list to Monday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:03 pm

    • Goes yard twice against ChiSox
Soto went 4-for-4 with a walk, two home runs and three RBI in Saturday's 6-1 win over the White Sox.

Advice: The 25-year-old had his best game yet as a Yankee, taking Brad Keller deep in the first and fifth innings. It was Soto's first multi-hit performance, and first long balls, since May 8, and through 47 games on the season he carries a .317/.414/.561 slash line with 11 homers, four steals, 32 runs and 37 RBI. • Throws another bullpen Saturday
Miller (shoulder) threw a bullpen session Saturday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Miller is now expected to throw a three-inning simulated game within the next few days. Assuming all goes well, he will then embark on a minor-league rehab assignment. The Dodgers haven't said how long they plan on keeping Miller in the minors, but considering he has been on the shelf since April 13, he will likely need to make multiple starts in order to get back to a starter's workload. • Bobby Miller (shoulder) throws bullpen session
Bobby Miller (shoulder) threw a bullpen session at Dodger Stadium on Saturday afternoon without any issues.

Advice: Up next for Miller will be a three-inning simulated game, and if all goes well with that session he’ll finally progress to a minor league rehab assignment. Anticipate that he’ll need at least two starts in the minors before he’s an option to rejoin the Dodgers’ rotation — but he is taking tangible steps in that direction. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:19 pm
