    • Blanks Twins for six innings
Stroman (3-2) earned the win Wednesday over the Twins, allowing two hits and three walks while striking out two over six shutout innings.

Advice: This was Stroman's second scoreless start of the season, as well as his third quality start. He entered Wednesday with nine runs allowed over his previous 15 innings across a three-start winless skid. The right-hander trimmed his ERA to 3.33 with a 1.42 WHIP and 42:25 K:BB over 48.2 innings through nine starts this season. Stroman's 4.6 BB/9 remains a concern -- it's by far the worst of his career, though his 7.8 K/9 is in line with his career norms. Stroman is projected to make his next start at home versus the Mariners. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:25 pm

    • Marcus Stroman twirls six scoreless innings
Marcus Stroman held the Twins scoreless across six innings on Wednesday earning the win. He allowed two hits, walked three, and struck out two.

Advice: Stroman wasn’t particularly sharp in this one with just two strikeouts and three walks. The Twins also had 10 hard hit balls, seven of which were hit in the air, but they couldn’t sustain any type of rally. But that’s what happens when the Yankees play the Twins, with a 119-43 record in their last 162 games against Minnesota. Rotoworld Wednesday, 8:22 pm

    • Improves to 2-0
Gasser (2-0) earned the win Wednesday over the Pirates, allowing one run on six hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out two.

Advice: Gasser was solid in his second big-league outing, allowing just one run in the third inning while the Brewers exploded for 10 runs in a convincing victory. The 24-year-old southpaw has allowed just one run through 11 innings in his first two starts after posting a 5.25 ERA in three outings with Triple-A Nashville. Gasser figures to stick in Milwaukee's rotation while DL Hall (knee) is sidelined. The former is currently slated for a road matchup with the Marlins in his next start. • Won't appeal 10-game suspension
Astros general manager Dana Brown said Blanco won't appeal his 10-game suspension, which will go into effect beginning with Wednesday's contest versus the Athletics, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Blanco received the 10-game ban earlier Wednesday after he was ejected in the fourth inning of his start in Tuesday's 2-1 extra-inning win over Oakland for violating the prohibitions on foreign substances. When he spoke to the media after the game, Blanco implied through an interpreter that he would appeal any suspension, but he's since accepted the banishment and won't be eligible to pitch again until May 26. The Astros won't be able to replace Blanco on the 26-man roster and will have to get by with a shorthanded pitching staff for the time being, though Jose Urquidy could soon return from the 15-day injured list to provide reinforcement for the rotation. • Stuck with blown save
Romano (1-1) took a loss and a blown save in Wednesday's 3-2 defeat to the Orioles, allowing two runs on two hits without recording an out in the ninth inning.

Advice: Called upon to protect a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the ninth, Romano gave up an infield single to Jordan Westburg leading off the frame before Adley Rutschman launched a two-run, walk-off homer. It's the first blown save of the year for Romano -- he'd been 6-for-6 in save chances prior to Wednesday. The 31-year-old right-hander sports a 5.06 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 9:3 K:BB through his first 10.2 innings this season. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 1:57 pm

    • Gets 10-game ban, appeal expected
Major League Baseball announced Wednesday that Blanco has been suspended 10 games violating the prohibitions on foreign substances, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports. He's expected to appeal the suspension.

Advice: Blanco was ejected from Tuesday's against the Athletics prior to the fourth inning after umpires examined his glove for a foreign substance. With MLB concurring with the umpires' assessment a day after investigating the matter, an automatic 10-game suspension was triggered for Blanco. The Astros haven't formally deactivated Blanco, so for now, the expectation is that he'll be able to pitch for Houston until the appeal process is completed. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 1:35 pm

    • Ronel Blanco receives 10-game suspension
Ronel Blanco was given a 10-game suspension after umpires detected a foreign substance on his glove during a check after the third inning on Tuesday.

Advice: Astros’ general manager Dana Brown told reporters on Wednesday that Blanco will not appeal the suspension and will begin serving his sentence immediately. That means that fantasy managers need to have a contingency option in place for next week since Blanco will not pitch. Rotoworld Wednesday, 1:21 pm

    • Jordan Romano gives up walkoff homer to Orioles
Jordan Romano took his first blown save and loss after giving up a two-run homer to the Orioles on Wednesday.

Advice: Romano has been somewhat shaky since returning from elbow inflammation, but that he gave up a 347-foot homer to Adley Rutschman today doesn’t mean a whole lot. He should still be safe in the closer’s role, even if the Blue Jays presumably have more faith in Yimi García at the moment. Rotoworld Wednesday, 1:14 pm

    • Robert Gasser silences Pirates to net second win
Robert Gasser allowed one run over five innings on Wednesday in a win over the Pirates.

Advice: Gasser got plenty of support from Milwaukee’s offense, which wound up tagging opposing starter Martín Pérez for nine runs over five frames to open the contest, enabling Gasser to cruise to a relatively easy win in his second big league outing. He finished with two strikeouts and only issued one walk. The 24-year-old southpaw wasn’t overpowering, as evidenced by just eight swinging strikes, but he managed to avoid hard contact in this one, limiting Pittsburgh’s lineup to just six batted balls with an exit velocity in excess of 95 mph. He’ll bring a sparkling 0.82 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and 6/1 K/BB ratio across 11 innings (two starts) into an extremely tasty road matchup on Tuesday against the Marlins. Rotoworld Wednesday, 12:56 pm
