• Optioned to Triple-A
The Marlins optioned Munoz to Triple-A Jacksonville on Tuesday.

Advice: Munoz will head back to the minors after giving up six earned runs in 4.2 innings during Monday's loss to the Dodgers. George Soriano was recalled from Jacksonville to fill Munoz's roster spot, though Jesus Luzardo (elbow) and Braxton Garrett (shoulder) could return from their rehab assignments within the next several days to help fill the open spot in Miami's rotation. • Earns win in first start
Urena (1-2) earned the win Wednesday against Oakland, allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out two.

Advice: Urena was able to minimize the damage through his first two innings before holding the A's to just one baserunner (who reached on an error) over his final three frames. The 32-year-old Urena had allowed four earned runs over 3.2 innings in his previous two appearances out of the bullpen. His ERA sits at 3.86 with a 1.29 WHIP and 18:11 K:BB this season. With Nathan Eovaldi (groin) working his way back from the IL, Urena will likely return to a relief role. Rotowire.com 10 minutes ago

  • Homer, five RBI in win
Semien went 4-for-5 with a home run, a double, five total RBI and three total runs scored in Tuesday's 15-8 victory over the Athletics.

Advice: Semien led off the game with a solo blast off Ross Stripling before driving in three more runs with a pair of hits in the Rangers' 10-run second inning. Semien would add a fifth RBI with his fourth hit in the fourth. The 33-year-old second-baseman had gone nine games without a homer prior to Wednesday's contest, going 8-for-40 with just two RBI in that span. He's now slashing .266/.314/.449 through 37 games this season with six homers, 27 RBI, 27 runs scored and a stolen base. Rotowire.com 17 minutes ago

  • Clayton Kershaw (shoulder) throws bullpen session
Clayton Kershaw (shoulder) threw a 20-pitch bullpen session on Tuesday.

Advice: It was Kershaw’s second bullpen session since undergoing offseason left shoulder surgery. The 36-year-old future Hall of Fame southpaw is targeting a midseason return to Los Angeles’ starting rotation mix and remains a viable option for fantasy managers on a per-start basis, when healthy. • Marcus Semien powers Rangers to 15-8 rout of A’s
Marcus Semien went 4-for-5 with a leadoff homer and five RBI on Tuesday, powering the Rangers to a 15-8 blowout victory over the Athletics.

Advice: Semien set the tone with a leadoff blast -- his sixth round-tripper of the season -- off Athletics starter Ross Stripling before adding a pair of run-scoring hits as part of Texas’ 10-run explosion in the ensuing frame. The 33-year-old ironman has shown zero signs of slowing down as he approaches his mid-30’s, batting .266 (42-for-158) with 27 runs scored, six homers, 27 RBI and one stolen base through 37 contests. • Jonah Heim tallies four hits in blowout victory
Jonah Heim went 4-for-4 with a pair of RBI on Tuesday in the Rangers’ lopsided win over the Athletics.

Advice: Heim tallied four hits, including - before getting a reprieve from catching the remainder of a one-sided blowout against his former organization at Oakland Coliseum. The four-hit performance raises his batting average to a robust .301 mark in the early stages of the season. Rotoworld 23 minutes ago

  • José Ureña goes five innings for win against A’s
José Ureña was charged with two runs (one earned) over five innings on Tuesday in a win over the Athletics.

Advice: Ureña drew the spot starting assignment for Tuesday afternoon’s matinee out in Oakland and wound up getting 15 runs of support from the Rangers’ offense by the time he left the contest after five frames. He struck out two and also issued a pair of walks. He’ll presumably continue to operate in a swingman-type role for Texas until further notice. Rotoworld 24 minutes ago

  • Ross Stripling shelled for 11 runs in A’s loss
Ross Stripling was obliterated for 11 runs (five earned) over 1 2/3 innings on Tuesday in a loss to the Rangers.

Advice: Stripling was ostensibly forced to wear it for the Athletics on Tuesday afternoon as the Rangers torched him for 10 hits before he was mercifully lifted from the contest without escaping the second inning. The calamitous blow-up outing balloons his full-season ERA from 4.24 to a ghastly 5.14 in the process. The 34-year-old veteran righty will aim to turn things around on Sunday when he faces the Mariners up in Seattle. Rotoworld 25 minutes ago

  • Nearly perfect in second rehab start
Peterson (hip) struck out four and allowed one hit and no walks Friday for Single-A St. Lucie in the second start of his rehab assignment.

Advice: Peterson has now permitted just one baserunner while striking out nine over his first two rehab starts with St. Lucie and could be ready for a stiffer test with a higher-level affiliate. He built up to 41 pitches (23 strikes) on Friday and will likely need to bring his count up to around 75 before the Mets feel comfortable bringing him back from the 60-day injured list. After opening the season on the shelf while he continued his recovery from left hip surgery, Peterson won't be eligible for activation until late May. Rotowire.com 44 minutes ago
