    Urquidy (forearm) will make another rehab start after his upcoming outing at Double-A Corpus Christi on Saturday, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

    Advice: Manager Joe Espada said Urquidy is slated for four innings (60-65 pitches) in Saturday's contest, so the Astros will keep him in the minors for an additional rehab appearance in hopes of stretching him out further. The 29-year-old righty struggled in his first rehab outing, giving up three earned runs across 2.2 innings with Triple-A Sugar Land.     Athletics optioned LHP Hogan Harris to Triple-A Las Vegas.

    Advice: With Brandon Bielak joining the big league roster on Friday, someone needed to get the boot, and it looks like Harris drew the short straw this time around. The 27-year-old southpaw posted a 4.15 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and an 8/3 K/BB ratio over 8 2/3 innings with the A’s. He’ll continue to refine his craft at the Triple-A level for the time being.     Cavalli (elbow) is ready for a rehab assignment in the Florida Complex League, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

    Advice: Once Cavalli makes his first start, his 30-day rehab clock will start. One of the Nationals' top pitching prospects, Cavalli underwent Tommy John Surgery in March of 2023 and is finally ready to pitch in-game.     Advice: It will be the first major-league start for Spence, who has posted a 4.26 ERA and 22:7 K:BB over 25.1 innings covering 11 relief appearances. The Rule 5 pick will be pitching on three days' rest after allowing two runs over two-thirds of an inning on Monday in Houston. Spence has gone three-plus frames in six of his appearances, which includes a season-long 4.2-inning outing on May 5 versus the Marlins.     Giants’ manager Bob Melvin told reporters on Wednesday that Keaton Winn’s forearm tightness is “pretty mild”.

    Advice: At least that’s the initial diagnosis after Winn left Tuesday’s start with the issue. It still sounds like he’s going to miss at least one start — and could still wind up on the injured list — but the Giants aren’t expecting him to miss a significant amount of time.     Manager Bob Melvin said Wednesday that Winn's forearm tightness is "pretty mild," Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

    Advice: Winn was removed in the fifth inning of his start in Tuesday's 10-2 loss to the Dodgers after his forearm started bothering him. Though Melvin suggested that the right-hander's injury isn't too severe, the skipper acknowledged that Winn could still miss some time.     The Athletics recalled Harris from Triple-A Las Vegas on Wednesday.

    Advice: Harris was optioned to Las Vegas just one week earlier, but he'll be eligible to rejoin Oakland since he'll be taking the active roster spot of Alex Wood (shoulder), who was placed on the 15-day injured list. Wood's injury will create an opening in the rotation this weekend in Kansas City, and if Harris isn't used in relief Wednesday or Thursday in Houston, he could be a candidate to fill the void. Harris has started in all seven of his appearances for Las Vegas this season, logging a 7.56 ERA and 1.92 WHIP over 25 innings in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League.
