    Padres placed INF Xander Bogaerts on the 10-day injured list with a fractured left shoulder.

    Advice: Ouch. Bogaerts sustained the injury while diving for a ball during the first game of Monday’s doubleheader. He’s expected to miss at least two months while recovering from the injuy. Luis Arraez is covering second base on Wednesday and will probably see additional action there while Bogaerts is shelved. Vidal Brujan has been on the bench for both games since Anderson stepped back in as the Marlins' everyday shortstop, signaling that manager Skip Schumaker is content to stick with Lopez at the keystone while the 25-year-old is wielding a hot bat.
