• Ryan McMahon clubs two-run homer in loss Saturday
Ryan McMahon went 1-for-2 and clubbed a two-run homer on Saturday night as the Rockies fell to the Astros in Mexico City.

Advice: McMahon got the Rockies on the board first in this one, clobbering a mammoth 459-foot (108.9 mph EV) two-run shot off of Ronel Blanco in the first inning. He also drew a walk and struck out in the contest, participating in only the three true outcomes. He’s off to a tremendous start to the 2024 season, slashing .310/.393/.480 with four homers and 16 RBI. Rotoworld Today, 7:13 pm

  • Launches first homer of 2024
India went 4-for-4 with a home run and four RBI in Saturday's 8-4 win over the Rangers.

Advice: The 27-year-old slugged a two-run homer off Michael Lorenzen in the seventh inning, giving the Reds what proved to be crucial insurance runs after they'd jumped out to an early 3-0 lead. The long ball was India's first of 2024, and after managing only two multi-hit performances in his first 21 games, he's now racked up six knocks in the last two. Despite the big weekend he's putting together, he's still slashing just .222/.347/.309 on the season with two steals, eight RBI and 11 runs in 81 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 4:59 pm

  • Christopher Morel exits after collision on Saturday
Christopher Morel was removed from Saturday’s game against the Red Sox after colliding with teammate Alexander Canario.

Advice: Morel told reporters after the game that he felt alright, just a little banged up — specifically noting his right hip and both elbows. He did say that he was optimistic about his ability to play on Sunday, though manager Craig Counsell may have other plans. Be sure to check on his status prior to Sunday’s series finale. • Emerges from fall uninjured
Cubs manager Craig Counsell said Morel "is fine" after exiting Saturday's game versus the Red Sox after the seventh inning following a fall in the outfield, CHGO Cubs reports.

Advice: Morel toppled over left fielder Alexander Canario after making a running catch and landed hard on the ground, banging up his elbows and right hip. He looked to be in some pain and was removed from the game at that point. However, it sounds like he probably would've remained in if the score hadn't been so lopsided. It's possible the Cubs will hold Morel out Sunday if he's still a bit sore, but it does not appear fantasy managers need to have any real worry about his status. Rotowire.com Today, 4:16 pm

Betts is having a monster start to the season, slashing .391/.489/.661 through 115 plate appearances with six homers, eight steals, 23 RBI and 29 runs, and while it's early, he's firmly on pace for the second 30-30 campaign of his career. • Jonathan India homers, drives in four vs. Rangers
Jonathan India went 4-for-4 with a home run and four RBI in an 8-4 win over the Rangers on Saturday.

Advice: India saw his season numbers take a decent jump after a four-hit day at the plate. He put the Reds on the board with a base hit in the second inning to drive in a run. India would do the same in the fourth, driving in his second run with a second. And he’d finally send one over the fence with his first homer of the season in the seventh, a two-run shot off Michael Lorenzen. The 27-year-old second baseman is now batting .222/.347/.309 with the one homers, 11 runs scored, and eight RBI across 98 plate appearances. Rotoworld Today, 3:58 pm

  • Thairo Estrada returns to Giants lineup
Thairo Estrada (hamstring) returned to the Giants’ starting lineup on Saturday.

Advice: Estrada was pulled from Wednesdays game against the Mets due to tightness in his hamstring, then sat out Friday’s contest as a precautionary measure. He’s back in there at second base and batting eighth against Martin Perez and the Pirates on Saturday night. Rotoworld Today, 3:11 pm

  • Mookie Betts collects three hits against Blue Jays
