• Seth Lugo strikes out 12 in victory over Angels
Seth Lugo delivered a dominant performance in Sunday’s victory over the Angels, racking up a career-high 12 strikeouts over eight innings of one-run baseball.

Advice: The 34-year-old right-hander scattered just five hits on the afternoon and didn’t walk a single batter. The only blemish on his day came in the form of a run-scoring double off the bat of Willie Calhoun in the sixth inning, otherwise he was masterful. Lugo generated a whopping 17 swings and misses on 112 pitches in the ballgame — eight of those on his curveball — while registering an elite CSW of 38 percent. He has been unbelievable for the Royals this season, posting a 6-1 record, 1.66 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and a 48/12 K/BB ratio over 59 2/3 innings in his first nine starts. He’ll look to keep the good times rolling when he takes on the Athletics at home on Saturday. Rotoworld Today, 3:48 pm

  • Zac Gallen has solid start in win over Orioles
Zac Gallen allowed two runs on four hits in six innings in a win over the Orioles.

Advice: Gallen struck out four and walked two on the day while posting a pedestrian 10 percent whiff rate and 19 percent CSW. It should be noted that Gallen’s fastball velocity was also up almost two mph on the year, averaging 94.2 mph. His sinker and slider were both also up over two mph, so the early season concerns about his health may be in the rearview mirror. However, the lack of swings and misses are a bit of a concern; although, the opponent was certainly a tough one. Gallen will take a 2.86 ERA into an easier start against the Tigers next week. • Rafaela drives in two runs in win over Nationals
Ceddanne Rafaela went 1-for-3 with two RBI in a win over the Nationals on Sunday.

Advice: Rafaela had a ground rule double off of MacKenzie Gore in the second inning and is now up to 22 RBI on the season. The season-long stats don’t look great, but he’s 10-for-34 in May, which is a .323 average. The bigger issue for him is he has 11 strikeouts to just one walk over the same timeframe, which highlights some of the concerns with his profile right now. Still, the 23-year-old figures to play every day for the Red Sox and has the power and speed to remain a useful fantasy play in deeper formats. Rotoworld Today, 2:51 pm

  • Rosario has homer, steal in loss to Red Sox
Eddie Rosario went 1-for-2 with two walks, a home run, and a steal in a loss to the Red Sox on Sunday.

Advice: Rosario’s overall stat line isn’t great, but he now has hits in seven straight games and went 7-for-15 this week with three home runs, four RBI, and three steals. We’ve seen him be a useful fantasy contributor before, so if this is the beginning of a hot stretch, now might be the time to pick him up in deeper formats. Rotoworld Today, 2:45 pm

  • Stott has two hits, two steals in loss to Marlins
Bryson Stott went 2-for-2 with a double, two steals, and three walks in a loss to the Marlins on Sunday.

Advice: Neither of Stott’s hits were hit particularly hard, but he didn’t record a single out in five trips to the plate so nobody is mad about that. He’s been consistently hitting fifth in the order and is now batting .270/.370/.436 on the season with 10 steals. He’s been very useful to fantasy managers. Rotoworld Today, 2:19 pm

  • Brandon Nimmo (ribs) hopes to return on Monday
Brandon Nimmo (intercostal) expects to return to the Mets’ lineup on Monday.

Advice: The 31-year-old outfielder was pulled from Saturday’s game due to right intercostal irritation. He tried to talk manager Carlos Mendoza into letting him play on Sunday, but was unable to convince him. It does not sound like he’ll require a trip to the injured list though and should return to the Mets’ lineup for Monday’s series opener against the Phillies. Rotoworld Today, 1:29 pm

  • Brandon Nimmo (ribs) remains out Sunday
Brandon Nimmo (ribs) is not in the lineup for Sunday’s game against Atlanta.

Advice: Nimmo left Saturday’s game with a right intercostal irritation. The outfielder will be out again for the finale against Atlanta with DJ Stewart starting in his place and leading off against Bryce Elder. Rotoworld Today, 12:32 pm

  • Not starting Sunday
Nimmo (ribs) is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against Atlanta, Jorge Castillo of ESPN.com reports.

Advice: Nimmo left after the fourth inning of Saturday's 4-1 loss due to right intercostal irritation. DJ Stewart will start in left field Sunday and bat in the leadoff spot against Atlanta right-hander Bryce Elder. Rotowire.com Today, 12:18 pm

  • On base three times in loss
Julien went 2-for-4 with a walk, a run scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 10-8 loss to the Blue Jays.

Advice: The 25-year-old Canadian put together a solid performance in Toronto as the Twins' leadoff hitter. The multi-hit performance was Julien's first since April 27, snapping a slump that had seen him hit just .097 (3-for-31) over the prior 12 games, while the steal was his fourth of the season, establishing a new career high after he swiped three in 109 games last year as a rookie.
