      Advice: Adell erased a four-run deficit when he checked into the game in the seventh inning, replacing Matt Thaiss. The homer also ended a 1-for-31 dry spell for Adell, who went 11-for-43 (.256) prior to that slump. The outfielder is already at 11 homers on the year while adding 27 RBI, eight stolen bases, 24 runs scored, four doubles and a triple over 162 plate appearances.       Advice: You don’t see a ton of pinch-hit grand slams, but Adell was able to get one after coming off the bench and blistering a Tayler Saucedo sweeper into the left-field seats to tie the game at 4-4. The outfielder had been scuffling as of late, but the power didn’t go away.       Advice: Angels’ manager Ron Washington told Adell this week not to worry about his recent struggles and that the team’s right field job is still is. It’s not a bad idea to give him a night off though to clear his head. Adell is mired in a 1-for-30 slump with a 14/0 K/BB ratio during that stretch.       O'Neill (knee) said Friday that he expects to be activated from the 10-day injured list when first eligible Wednesday, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.

      Advice: O'Neill was given a cortisone injection to combat inflammation in his right knee and said the shot has helped a lot. It would appear he's likely to skip a rehab assignment and return when his 10 days are up.       Advice: O'Neill landed on the IL on Wednesday with right knee inflammation, an injury that he had been playing with for a while. While Cora didn't exactly commit to O'Neill requiring just the minimum 10-day absence, it does not appear he will be out long. He's eligible for activation June 5. Rob Refsnyder appears most likely to soak up the bulk of the playing time at designated hitter while O'Neill is out, although the Red Sox have Connor Wong at DH and Reese McGuire at catcher Thursday versus the Tigers.       George Springer went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and two runs scored in the Blue Jays’ 3-1 win over the White Sox on Wednesday.

      Advice: Springer has fallen to the lower half of the lineup with Davis Schneider taking over leadoff duties in Toronto, but still managed to score six times with five hits in three games against the White Sox.       Castellanos went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer, a double and a second run scored in Wednesday's 6-1 win over San Francisco.

      Advice: Castellanos highlighted a three-hit day with a two-run homer off Kyle Harrison in the fifth inning, extending Philadelphia's lead to 4-0. It's just the second multi-hit game for Castellanos in his last nine contests -- he'd been stuck in a 5-for-32 slump prior to Wednesday.
