    • Settles in to earn win
Mikolas (6-6) earned the win against the Giants on Saturday, allowing four runs on six hits and two walks with three strikeouts over six innings.

Advice: Mikolas struggled early, allowing three runs in the first inning and another in the third. He bounced back with three perfect frames and departed with a 7-4 lead at the conclusion of the sixth. Mikolas broke a streak of five consecutive quality starts but was still able to earn his third victory in his past four starts. The 35-year-old now owns a 4.68 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 67:17 K:BB and lines up to face the Reds next week. Rotowire.com 43 minutes ago

    • Strikes out 10 in win
Taillon (4-3) earned the win against the Mets on Saturday, allowing one run on six hits and no walks with 10 strikeouts over seven innings.

Advice: Taillon was excellent Saturday, with a solo home run by Francisco Alvarez in the fifth inning being his only blemish. He generated an impressive 15 swinging strikes on 93 pitches and notched a season-high 10 punchouts. Taillon has logged three consecutive quality starts and now owns a 2.90 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 53:16 K:BB over 68.1 innings this season. The 32-year-old lines up for a start against the Giants next week. • Corbin Burnes gives up two homers in loss to Astros
Corbin Burnes gave up four runs over seven innings with five strikeouts in a loss to the Astros on Saturday.

Advice: Burnes gave up two homers in the loss, including a two-run homer by Yordan Alvarez. Outside of the roundtrippers the 29-year-old was mostly solid, but he was outdueled by Ronel Blanco as Baltimore dropped their second consecutive game in the three-game set. Burnes is back on the bump Thursday against the Rangers, assuming Baltimore doesn’t change the rotation order. Rotoworld Today, 3:29 pm

    • Jameson Taillon fans 10 in dominant win over Mets
Jameson Taillon recorded 10 strikeouts and allowed one run over six innings on Saturday in a win over the Mets.

Advice: Taillon was staked to a five-run cushion by the outset of the second inning and was able to cruise to his fourth victory of the season, setting a new season-high in the strikeout department in the process. A fifth-inning solo shot by Mets emerging star Francisco Alvarez was the lone blemish over six stellar frames as he induced 15 swinging strikes and finished with a robust 34 percent CSW. The 32-year-old righty has allowed two earned runs or fewer, while also completing six innings, in each of his las three starts dating back to June 11. He’ll bring a solid 2.90 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 53/16 K/BB ratio across 68 1/3 innings (12 starts) into a road tilt on Thursday against the Giants at pitcher-friendly Oracle Park. • Miles Mikolas allows four runs in win over Giants
Miles Mikolas gave up four runs over six innings on Saturday in a win over the Giants.

Advice: Mikolas got in trouble right away in the opening frame when Jorge Soler and Michael Conforto delivered run-scoring singles as part of a three-run outburst. He managed to settle in afterwards, limiting San Francisco to just one run over his final five frames of work. He struck out three and only handed out a pair of free passes. He’ll bring an inflated 4.68 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 67/17 K/BB ratio across 90 1/3 innings (16 starts) into a home outing on Thursday against the Reds. Rotoworld Today, 2:01 pm

    • Notches eighth victory
Stone (8-2) earned the win over Colorado on Thursday, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out seven batters over 5.1 innings.

Advice: Stone performed well in the Colorado altitude, as none of the four hits against him went for extra bases. The right-hander was working on a shutout through five frames but fell off in the sixth inning, loading the bases with one out on a pair of walks and a single before getting the hook. Two of those three runners scored after his departure, but that didn't prevent Stone from registering the win. The 25-year-old has become a key part of Los Angeles' rotation in his first full MLB campaign, leading the team with eight victories while posting a 3.04 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 63:25 K:BB over 80 innings. • Stone gives up two runs in win over Rockies
Gavin Stone allowed two runs in 5 1/3 innings and got the win in the Dodgers’ 5-3 victory over the Rockies on Thursday.

Advice: Stone gave up four hits, walked two and struck out seven. Both runs came on a Jake Cave two-run single in the sixth inning. The win was Stone’s eighth of the year and he’s now won four of his last five starts. He’s also struck out at least six batters in four of his last five starts. The 25-year-old right-hander is set to face the White Sox on the road next week. Rotoworld Thursday, 2:53 pm

    • Continues impressive stretch
Brown (4-5) earned the win against the White Sox on Wednesday, allowing one run on seven hits and no walks while striking out six batters over six innings.

Advice: The only run scored against Brown came on an Andrew Benintendi solo homer in the fourth inning. Otherwise, Brown was solid again -- all six of Chicago's other hits were singles, and the right-handed hurler didn't issue any walks for the second straight outing. Brown had an awful 9.78 ERA through 23 innings across his first six starts this season, but he's since lowered that mark to 4.72. He's been especially impressive of late, racking up six straight quality starts and limiting his opponents to one run over 19 frames while posting a 22:4 K:BB across his past three outings. • Hunter Brown holds White Sox to one run in win
Hunter Brown held the White Sox to one run with six strikeouts over six innings to earn the win on Wednesday.

Advice: Brown has been fantastic over his last several starts. The only run he allowed Wednesday came on a solo homer by Andrew Benintendi in the fourth inning. It was the only run he’s allowed over his last three outings. Brown scattered six other hits while striking out six batters to zero walks. The 25-year-old right-hander will take a 4.72 ERA, 1.41 WHIP, and an 82/29 K/BB ratio across 74 1/3 innings into a start against the Rockies in Houston on Tuesday. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:42 pm
