    • Elly De La Cruz strikes out four times in loss
Elly De La Cruz went 0-for-5 with four strikeouts in a loss to the Dodgers on Sunday.

Advice: After a tremendous first game of the series, De La Cruz finished the final three games against the Dodgers going 0-for-13 with eight strikeouts. He’s off to an absurd start to the season with 30 stolen bases and nine home runs in 47 games; however, he has started to give back some of his early plate discipline gains. De La Cruz now has 26 strikeouts to just five walks in May while going 14-for-65 at the plate for a .215 average. He’s an electric fantasy player and not somebody you’d ever take out of your lineup, but the 22-year-old remains a work in progress as far as his approach at the plate goes. While that gives him scary good upside, it also means that you should be ready for some prolonged cold streaks as well. Rotoworld 34 minutes ago

    • Carlos Rodón goes six in defeating former team
Carlos Rodón pitched six innings of two-run ball and struck out six Sunday as the Yankees topped the White Sox 7-2.

Advice: Rodón got 23 missed swings today, with seven of those coming on the 18 changeups he threw. Rodón had been throwing the changeup just six percent of the time this season, and if he can continue to get results with that pitch, he’ll be considerably more dangerous. As is, Rodón is already 5-2 with a 3.27 ERA. Still, his peripherals haven’t backed up the ERA to date. Rotoworld Today, 2:50 pm

    • Cedric Mullins knocks in two, steals base in win
Cedric Mullins went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a steal against the Mariners on Sunday.

Advice: Mullins snapped a hitless skid with a bunt single Saturday and today had two clean singles, both of which knocked in runs. He’s still batting just .194/.241/.351, but this seems like progress, and he has a nice schedule coming up against the Cardinals and White Sox this week. Rotoworld Today, 1:54 pm

    • Alek Manoah lights out in win over Rays
Alek Manoah struck out seven Rays across seven scoreless innings in a 5-2 win on Sunday. He allowed just one hit, gave up one walk, and earned his first win of the season.

Advice: Manoah looked fantastic on Sunday attacking the Rays hitters with his patented slider, sinker combo. Control is paramount for Manoah with his east-west arsenal as he works his way back into a groove. Rotoworld Today, 1:44 pm
    • Sitting against southpaw
Carpenter is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Carpenter has a 1.034 OPS with seven extra-base hits over his past eight games, but he'll receive Sunday off as lefty Jordan Montgomery pitches for Arizona. Wenceel Perez will shift to right field while Matt Vierling receives a start in center. Rotowire.com Today, 11:55 am

    • Vinnie Pasquantino gets day off Sunday vs. A’s
Vinnie Pasquantino is not in the lineup against the Athletics on Sunday.

Advice: With J.P. Sears on the mound, the Royals will have Pasquantino grab a seat on the bench. Salvador Perez is starting at first base and Freddy Fermin is the starting backstop. The Royals will also have MJ Melendez open the game on the bench with Dairon Blanco starting in left field. Rotoworld Today, 8:18 am
    • J.D. Martinez out of lineup with flu-like symptoms
J.D. Martinez is not in the starting lineup Sunday due to flu-like symptoms according to Jon Heyman of the New York Post.

Advice: Heyman also reports that Francisco Lindor and Harrison Bader are also under the weather, but they’re in the lineup. For now, Martinez should be considered day-to-day. Rotoworld Today, 8:08 am

    • Sitting against lefty
Pasquantino is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against Oakland.

Advice: The lefty-hitting first baseman will begin the game from the dugout as the Royals take on southpaw JP Sears. Salvador Perez will move to first base in place of Pasquantino while Freddy Fermin starts at catcher as Kansas City looks get the sweep against the Athletics. Rotowire.com Today, 8:05 am
    • Battling flu-like symptoms
Martinez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Miami due to flu-like symptoms, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

Advice: It turns out Martinez is under the weather, as an illness is reportedly sweeping through the Mets' clubhouse. It's uncertain whether he's available off the bench. Brandon Nimmo will serve as the designated hitter against righty Sixto Sanchez. Rotowire.com Today, 8:03 am
