    • Patrick Bailey homers in loss to Cardinals
Patrick Bailey went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Cardinals on Sunday.

Advice: Bailey crushed a 425-foot shot off of Sonny Gray in the seventh inning at 104 mph for his sixth big fly of the year. Bailey is also slashing .292/.362/.444 and has been tremendous for the Giants when not on the IL as he battled concussion issues. He’s playing well enough and starting often enough that he can be rostered in one-catcher leagues far more regularly. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:16 pm

    • Idle Sunday
Chourio isn't in the Brewers' lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres.

Advice: Chourio will get a chance to clear his head Sunday after going 3-for-17 with four RBI and two runs scored over his last five games. Sal Frelick, Blake Perkins and Jake Bauers will start across the Brewers' outfield while Christian Yelich serves as the DH. Rotowire.com Sunday, 11:06 am

    • Not starting Sunday
Hoskins isn't in the Brewers' lineup for Sunday's game versus San Diego.

Advice: Hoskins has tallied a base hit in each of his last five games, and he'll now get a day to rest versus Michael King and the Padres. Tyler Black will fill in as Milwaukee's first baseman and bat second. Rotowire.com Sunday, 11:03 am

    • Fernando Tatis Jr. out again Sunday due to injury
Fernando Tatis Jr. (triceps, quad) remains out of the lineup for Sunday’s series finale against the Brewers.

Advice: Tatis will miss his second consecutive contest after being drilled in the left triceps by a pitch during Friday’s showdown at Petco Park. If there’s a positive takeaway here it’s that the 25-year-old fantasy superstar didn’t need to undergo any precautionary imaging and is merely day-to-day with a triceps contusion. He’s also been playing through a lingering quad issue, which might be the more pressing issue at the moment. There should be a decision from San Diego concerning his status at some point early next week. Rotoworld Sunday, 10:53 am

    • Sitting again Sunday
Tatis (triceps) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Milwaukee.

Advice: Tatis exited Friday's 9-5 win after getting hit in the left arm by a pitch, and he'll now miss his second consecutive start as a result. David Peralta will once again start in right field while Donovan Solano serves as San Diego's designated hitter. According to MLB.com, Padres manager Mike Shildt said Tatis would have been available to pinch hit in Saturday's 6-2 loss if an opportunity presented itself, so the 25-year-old would appear to be day-to-day and could be ready to return to the lineup during the Padres' upcoming three-game series with the Nationals that begins Monday. • Moved to 60-day IL
The Marlins transferred Luzardo (back) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Sunday.

Advice: Manager Skip Schumaker said Saturday that Luzardo would likely be out for 4-to-6 weeks as a result of his lumbar stress reaction, but his move to the 60-day IL ensures that he'll out until at least Aug. 18. He will be joined on the 60-day IL by Edward Cabrera (shoulder), and the Marlins will bring up Kyle Tyler and Kent Emanuel from Triple-A to fill their open 40-man roster spots. • Marlins transfer Jesús Luzardo to 60-day IL
Marlins transferred LHP Jesús Luzardo to the 60-day injured list.

Advice: The procedural move opens up a spot on Miami’s 40-man roster and will keep Luzardo sidelined until mid-August. The 26-year-old southpaw landed on the injured list earlier this weekend with a stress reaction in his back and is going to wind up missing at least two months now. Rotoworld Sunday, 8:12 am

    • Blanks KC for third win
Gray (3-3) picked up the win Saturday, allowing two hits over six scoreless innings in a 6-0 victory over the Royals. He struck out three.

Advice: Both hits were third-inning singles, but Gray shut down the rally and proceeded to retire the final 10 batters he faced before exiting. The right-hander tossed 72 pitches (51 strikes) en route to his sixth quality start of the season, but Saturday marked the first time he'd lasted at least six innings in a start since May 15. Gray will take a 3.03 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 68:19 K:BB through 71.1 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come on the road next weekend in Baltimore. Rotowire.com Sunday, 5:24 am

    • Records final outs in win
Kopech allowed one hit and walked one while striking out two across a scoreless ninth inning Saturday against the Tigers.

Advice: Kopech entered the game with a four-run lead and allowed consecutive batters to reach base with two outs. He managed to escape to turn in his second consecutive scoreless appearance, though he's still allowed eight earned runs across his last 8.1 frames. Those struggles have called Kopech's role as closer into question, though he did enter Saturday's game after John Brebbia. Rotowire.com Saturday, 11:10 pm
