• Allen picks up fifth win Saturday
Logan Allen threw six shutout innings, struck out seven and picked up the win in the Guardians’ 11-4 victory over the Twins on Saturday.

Advice: The win was Allen’s fifth of the season. He lowered his ERA to 4.91 and his WHIP to 1.44 on the season. Allen has 43 strikeouts in 51 ⅓ innings this season. He’s only a spot starter for fantasy purposes, but he can contribute strikeouts in the right matchups. The 26-year-old left-hander is scheduled to face the Angels on the road next weekend.

  • Ober allows five runs against Guardians Saturday
Bailey Ober allowed eight hits, five runs and a walk in four innings and took the loss against the Guardians on Saturday.

Advice: This was Ober’s worst start since he blew up against the Royals in his first start of the season. He had allowed two earned runs or less in six of his previous seven starts. Ober’s ERA is now 4.40 on the season. The 28-year-old right-hander is scheduled to face the Rangers at home next weekend.

  • Fans career-high 14 in win
Gil (5-1) picked up the win Saturday, allowing one run on five hits and a walk over six innings in a 6-1 victory over the White Sox. He struck out 14.

Advice: The 25-year-old right-hander set a new career high in Ks -- in fact, Gil has never struck out more than nine batters in a big-league start before. He generated an incredible 22 swinging strikes among his 98 pitches, and 40 combined called/swinging strikes, as he produced his fourth straight quality start and won his fifth straight decision. Gil is having a breakout campaign, and he'll take a 2.39 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 62:27 K:BB through 49 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come at home next week against the Mariners. • Can't keep ball in yard Saturday
Keller (0-2) took the loss Saturday as the White Sox were downed 6-1 by the Yankees, coughing up six runs (five earned) on seven hits -- including four home runs -- and a walk over four-plus innings. He struck out four.

Advice: The right-hander served up a pair of homers to Juan Soto in the first and fifth innings, with Jose Trevino and Giancarlo Stanton taking Keller deep in between. Troubles keeping the ball in the park are nothing new for him, as he got tagged for 35 home runs over 273.1 innings in 2021-22 while with the Royals. Keller's spot in the White Sox rotation is my no means secure, but if he takes his next scheduled turn at home next week against the Orioles, he'll carry a 4.86 ERA and 1.38 WHIP to the mound. • Not sharp versus Mets
Garrett took a no-decision Saturday against the Mets, getting charged with six runs on seven hits and a walk over 4.1 innings. He struck out five.

Advice: Garrett looked out of sorts from the jump, hitting two batters with pitches while allowing three hits and two runs in the first inning. He did start to settle in a bit after that, but Garrett was pulled with the bases loaded and one out in the fifth and then watched all three inherited runners cross the plate. It's been two straight duds from Garrett since he's come off the injured list. Better days are surely ahead, but it will be difficult for fantasy managers to trust him next week in Arizona. • Charged with five runs
Severino didn't factor into the decision Saturday in Miami, allowing five runs on six hits and three walks over 6.2 frames. He struck out three.

Advice: Severino had limited the Marlins to just two runs through six innings of work. He was sent back out for the seventh, though, in a decision Mets manager Carlos Mendoza probably wishes he could have back. Severino gave up a walk, two hits and two runs in the frame before being pulled and another run was added to his line when an inherited runner scored. In three May starts, Severino has an ugly 13:12 K:BB across 16.2 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 5:19 pm

  • Joe Musgrove (triceps) will return from IL Sunday
Padres’ manager Mike Shildt confirmed that Joe Musgrove (triceps) will return from the injured list to start Sunday’s series finale against the Braves.

Advice: Musgrove has been sidelined since May 5 due to triceps tendinitis. He has made remarkable progress this week though — so much so that the Padres felt he didn’t even need a minor league rehab start. Fantasy managers may want to take a wait-and-see approach before throwing him back out there in lineups though. Prior to landing on the injured list, Musgrove had posted a 6.37 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and a 36/13 K/BB ratio across 41 innings in his first eight starts. Rotoworld Today, 5:05 pm

  • Garrett shaky again Saturday
Braxton Garrett allowed six runs, seven hits and a walk in 4 ⅓ innings and got a no-decision against the Mets on Saturday.

Advice: It was Garrett’s second start since coming off the injured list. He’s allowed at least five runs in both of his starts and his ERA is up to 10.24. The silver lining is that Garrett has 13 strikeouts in 9 ⅔ innings this year. The 26-year-old left-hander is scheduled to face the Diamondbacks on the road next weekend, but he should be left on the bench for now.

  • Severino allows five in no-decision
Luis Severino allowed five runs in 6 2/3 innings and got a no-decision in the Mets’ 10-9 loss to the Marlins on Saturday.

Advice: Severino was in line for his third win of the season, but the bullpen couldn’t hold the lead. He appeared to be cruising through the first six innings having allowed only two runs, but the Marlins scored three times in the seventh. His ERA is now 3.48. Severino only struck out three batters. His 21 percent strikeout percentage is a far cry from where it was during his heyday with the Yankees, but he’s getting a lot more ground balls as his 55 percent ground ball percentage is a career-high. The 30-year-old right-hander is set to face the Giants at home next weekend.
