    • Camilo Doval perfect in earning save
Camilo Doval was perfect in the ninth for a save in a 5-2 game against the Rangers on Friday.

Advice: Doval was pitching for the first time since giving up four runs in a blown save and a loss to the Yankees on Sunday. He definitely hasn’t been as effective as he was last year, in large part because he’s walked 17 in 24 1/3 innings, but he is 10-for-12 in save chances. Rotoworld Today, 9:38 pm
    • Secures save
Doval struck out one batter in a perfect inning to earn a save over the Rangers on Friday.

Advice: Doval fired 10 of 15 pitches to quickly retire the Ragners' 3-4-5 hitters in order and finish off the 5-2 win. It was his first appearance since coughing up four runs against the Yankees on June 2. Doval has now converted 10 of his 12 save chances and Friday was his first successful attempt since May 24. Doval lowered his season ERA to 4.07 through 24.1 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 7:56 pm
    • Notches 19th save
Clase walked one and struck out two in a scoreless ninth inning Tuesday to record his 19th save of the season in an 8-5 win over the Royals.

Advice: It didn't look like Clase would even get a save chance when the Guardians fell behind 5-0 early, but the right-hander had little trouble securing the comeback victory. Clase is tied for the league lead in saves with the Cardinals' Ryan Helsley, and the Cleveland closer hasn't given up an earned run since April 14 en route to a sparkling 0.30 ERA and 0.63 WHIP through 30.1 innings with a 31:3 K:BB. • Clase notches 19th save in win over Royals
Emmanuel Clase threw a scoreless ninth inning to close out an 8-5 win over the Royals on Tuesday.

Advice: Clase struck out two and walked one en route to his 19th save of the season. The right-hander has a minuscule 0.30 ERA and has been the best closer in fantasy baseball this season, earning tons of draft-day value for whoever took him in their leagues. • Crumbles against Yankees
Doval (2-1) allowed four runs on four hits and two walks in a blown save chance Sunday. He recorded two outs while taking a loss against the Yankees.

Advice: Doval entered the game with a 5-3 lead in the ninth inning and was quickly jumped by the top of the Yankees' lineup. With one out in the inning, he yielded an RBI triple to Anthony Volpe, a go-ahead, two-run shot to Juan Soto and an RBI double to Giancarlo Stanton. Doval had allowed four earned runs over his previous 15.2 innings before Sunday's ugly outing. His ERA shot up from 2.78 to 4.24 with a 30:17 K:BB through 23.1 frames. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:44 pm
    • Camilo Doval suffers blown save against Yankees
Camilo Doval suffered a brutal blown save on Sunday afternoon against the Yankees, giving up four runs on four hits in 2/3 of an inning.

Advice: Oof. The right-hander came on with a 5-3 lead to protect, but things got away from him in a hurry. Gleyber Torres started the inning with a single, then Anthony Volpe smacked a one-out RBI triple that narrowed the gap. Juan Soto then clobbered a go-ahead two-run homer to give the Yankees the lead. Doval kept fighting though, issuing a walk to Aaron Judge, an RBI double to Giancarlo Stanton and a walk to Alex Verdugo before uncorking a wild pitch that advanced both runners. He rallied to punch out DJ LeMahieu though before turning the ball over to Taylor Rogers to get the final out. He’s still locked in as the Giants’ closer, but his 4.24 ERA is no longer looking as spectacular and another blowup or two and Giants’ manager Bob Melvin may want to go another direction. • Converts 18th save
Clase earned a save against the Nationals on Saturday, retiring all three batters he faced in the ninth inning.

Advice: Tasked with preserving a 3-2 lead in the ninth inning, Clase needed only eight pitches to secure his 18th save of the season. The save tied him with Ryan Helsley of the Cardinals for the league lead, and he now boasts a ridiculous 0.31 ERA, 0.61 WHIP and 29:2 K:BB over 29.1 innings. Rotowire.com Saturday, 7:26 pm

    • Emmanuel Clase locks down 18th save
Emmanuel Clase tossed a perfect ninth inning to earn the save against the Nationals on Saturday.

Advice: Clase was summoned in the ninth inning to close it out with a one-run lead over the Nationals. He slammed the door quickly, needing only eight pitches to secure the win and lock down his 18th save of the season. The 26-year-old right-hander has allowed just one run with a 29/2 K/BB ratio across 29 1/3 innings. Rotoworld Saturday, 3:47 pm
