• Edward Olivares’ grand slam lifts PIT over LAA
Edward Olivares went 2-for-4 with a home run, double and four RBI in Monday’s 4-1 win over the Angels.

Advice: Olivares was responsible for all of Pittsburgh’s runs when he hit a grand slam off Tyler Anderson in the third inning. The 28-year-old now has three hits in his past two games after going hitless in his four previous games. He’s only hitting .218 on the season after he got off to a hot start at the beginning of the season. Rotoworld 29 minutes ago

  • Provides all the offense Monday
Greene went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Monday's 2-1 loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Greene got Detroit on the board early, belting a leadoff home run against Triston McKenzie in the top of the first inning. However, he and his teammates went quiet from there. Fantasy managers won't mind too much, as the young outfielder now has four home runs over his last seven games, which has pushed him up to nine long balls for the season. Greene hit a career-high 11 home runs last year, and it looks like he should fly past that number in 2024. Rotowire.com 48 minutes ago

  • Riley Greene hits homer on first pitch versus CLE
Riley Greene went X-for-X with a home run on the first pitch of the game against the Guardians on Monday.

Advice: Greene didn’t wait long to get the Tigers on the board, unfortunately for Detroit, it was the only run of the game. The 23-year-old’s solo shot went 424 feet to deep right center field and he now has nine home runs on the season. The only other players with more home runs in baseball this season? Gunnar Henderson, Shohei Othani, Marcell Ozuna and Mike Trout. Pretty good company. Greene is slashing .268/.393/.946 with 17 RBI through 35 games this season. Rotoworld 52 minutes ago

  • Nick Castellanos finally collects first double
Nick Castellanos doubled, singled and walked twice versus the Giants on Monday.

Advice: Each time it looks like Castellanos might be turning the corner, he’s gone right back to slumping the next day. Still, this rates as his best game so far this season. The double was hit 389 feet and would have been a homer in nine ballparks. Incredibly, it was the first two-bagger of the year for a guy who once had 58 of them. He finished with 37 last season. • Sitting against southpaw
Butler is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rangers.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Butler will head to the bench while southpaw Andrew Heaney toes the rubber for the Rangers. Tyler Nevin will fill in for Butler in right field and will bat second. Rotowire.com Today, 4:02 pm

  • Sitting out against lefty
Brown is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rangers.

Advice: With lefty Andrew Heaney on the hill for Texas, the lefty-hitting Brown will head to the bench. Esteury Ruiz replaces Brown in left field. Rotowire.com Today, 4:01 pm

  • Evan Carter out Monday against Athletics
Evan Carter is out of the starting lineup for Monday’s game against the Athletics.

Advice: Carter will get a day of rest against southpaw Alex Wood. While Carter sits the Rangers will have Ezequiel Duran play left field and hit seventh. Josh Smith also gets the day off for the Rangers with Davis Wendzel getting the start at third. Rotoworld Today, 3:57 pm

  • Back in starting nine Monday
Ruiz (wrist) will start in left field and bat leadoff in Monday's game against the Rangers.

Advice: After he was pulled from Saturday's 20-4 win over the Marlins with a wrist injury, Ruiz was sent in for an MRI, but the imaging evidently revealed nothing concerning. The speedy outfielder will slot back in atop the lineup with Oakland facing a left-hander (Andrew Heaney) on Monday, but Ruiz still looks as though he'll be limited to a short-side platoon role that will limit his opportunities to play against right-handed pitching. • Sitting versus southpaw
Carter is absent from the lineup for Monday's game against the Athletics.

Advice: The A's are sending southpaw Alex Wood to the hill, so the left-handed hitting Carter will receive a day off. Ezequiel Duran is getting the start in left field Monday. Rotowire.com Today, 3:56 pm
