• Singles in first rehab game
Polanco (hamstring) started at designated hitter in High-A Everett's win over Eugene on Saturday and went 1-for-4 with two strikeouts.

Advice: Polanco was lifted for a pinch hitter in the ninth inning, but he got a solid amount of plate appearances in during his first game action of any kind since May 26. The veteran infielder is slated to play with the AquaSox again Sunday before shifting his rehab assignment to Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday, per Ryan Division of The Seattle Times. • Blasts two homers Saturday
Martinez went 3-for-3 with a pair of home runs, three total RBI and two walks in Saturday's 5-1 win against the Padres.

Advice: Martinez reached in all five of his plate appearances and registered his first multi-homer game of the season. The veteran slugger has gone deep three times in his past three games and has at least one RBI in six of his past seven contests. Of Martinez's past six hits, five (two doubles and three homers) have gone for extra bases. Rotowire.com Saturday, 10:34 pm
  • JD Mart homers twice in win over Padres
J.D. Martinez went 3-for-3 with two home runs and three RBI in a 5-1 win over the Padres on Saturday.

Advice: Martinez hit his first home run 391 feet off of Jhony Brito in the fourth inning and then followed that up with a 382-foot shot in the seventh. He now has eight home runs and 26 RBI in 43 games for the Mets so far this season. Given his regular playing time and spot in the middle of the Mets’ order, Martinez carries consistent fantasy value even in his age 36 season. Rotoworld Saturday, 6:42 pm
  • Brandon Nimmo has two hits, two RBI in win
Brandon Nimmo went 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI in a win over the Padres.

Advice: Nimmo got the scoring going with an RBI double in the fourth inning and then tacked on an extra run with an RBI single in the eighth. It’s been a tough year for the 31-year-old, but he has two hits in each of the two games against the Padres, so perhaps he can turn it into a much better summer. Rotoworld Saturday, 6:36 pm
  • Starting rehab assignment
Polanco (hamstring) is playing in a rehab game Saturday at High-A Everett, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Advice: Polanco will remain at Everett for a few games before continuing his rehab at Triple-A Tacoma. The second baseman has been ramping up over the past week and is feeling good enough to begin playing games. Polanco is on track for a late-June return after straining his right hamstring May 26. • Jorge Polanco (hamstring) begins rehab assignment
Jorge Polanco (hamstring) will begin a minor league rehab assignment at High-A Everett on Saturday.

Advice: The 30-year-old second baseman is only expected to need a couple of games to get his timing back before he’s cleared to return to the Mariners’ lineup. Expect him back early next week, which will severely impact the playing time for Ryan Bliss, who has been filling in at second base over the past few weeks. Rotoworld Saturday, 4:30 pm

  • J.D. Martinez doubles home two in win
J.D. Martinez went 1-for-3 with a double, walk, and two RBI on Friday against the Padres.

Advice: Martinez’s double was the extent of the Mets’ damage against Matt Waldron and offense in general on Friday. He’s now driven in the last four runs for the Mets going back to his walk-off home run on Thursday and is sporting an 18 game on-base streak. Rotoworld Friday, 8:13 pm

  • Rejoining big club
The Blue Jays recalled Barger from Triple-A Buffalo on Friday.

Advice: The 24-year-old went 1-for-18 during a brief stint with the Blue Jays earlier this season, and he'll rejoin the MLB roster after he posted a .218/.344/.391 slash line in 31 games since being returned to Buffalo in early May. Barger doesn't have a clear path to an everyday role despite being one of the organization's top prospects, but he's still likely to see at least semi-regular playing time while up with Toronto.
