    • Doval locks down 8th save in win over Rockies
Camilo Doval threw a scoreless ninth inning to close out a 4-1 win over the Rockies on Sunday.

Advice: Camilo Doval didn’t allow a hit or a walk while striking out one to earn his 8th save of the season. The right-hander has a 3.00 ERA on the season with 24 strikeouts in 18 innings. He has yet to blow a save on the season, and if the Giants lineup can get healthy and start putting up some runs, he could earn some more saves in the months ahead. Rotoworld Today, 3:50 pm
    • Carlos Rodón goes six in defeating former team
Carlos Rodón pitched six innings of two-run ball and struck out six Sunday as the Yankees topped the White Sox 7-2.

Advice: Rodón got 23 missed swings today, with seven of those coming on the 18 changeups he threw. Rodón had been throwing the changeup just six percent of the time this season, and if he can continue to get results with that pitch, he’ll be considerably more dangerous. As is, Rodón is already 5-2 with a 3.27 ERA. Still, his peripherals haven’t backed up the ERA to date. Rotoworld Today, 2:50 pm

    • Rengifo has triple and RBI vs Rangers
Luis Rengifo went 1-for-3 with a walk, a triple, and an RBI in a win over the Rangers on Sunday.

Advice: Rengifo returned this weekend after being on the IL with an illness and was right back to the top of the batting order, which is good news for his fantasy value. His RBI triple in the seventh inning helped to pad the lead and his walk earlier in the game set him up for a stolen base attempt. While he was thrown out, the fact that he continues to lead off and run makes him a solid bet in most fantasy leagues. Rotoworld Today, 2:38 pm

    • Brandon Nimmo homers in win
Brandon Nimmo went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run, walk, and two runs scored in the Mets win over the Marlins on Sunday.

Advice: Newly minted three-hitter Brandon Nimmo is having a power renaissance with five home runs in his last 17 games. Hitting third will give him a lot more RBI chances compared to when he hit leadoff. The Mets have scored seven and nine runs in the two games since their lineup shakeup, so the new order may hold moving forward.

    • Andrés Giménez homers, walks in win
Andrés Giménez went 1-for-3 with a home run, walk, two RBI, and two runs scored.

Advice: It has not been a strong season for Giménez in the power department with just a 2.6 Barrel% entering play on Sunday. The homer was his fourth of the season and he remains a solid fantasy asset with a .277 batting average and seven stolen bases. Rotoworld Today, 1:14 pm

    • Taking on 'fluid' role
Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said Sunday that Diaz's bullpen role will be more "fluid" for the near future, Paige Leckie of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The 30-year-old surrendered four runs in his third blown save of the season Saturday and admitted that his confidence is down with seven runs allowed in his past three outings, so the Mets won't rely on him to be their primary closer for a bit. Diaz is still viewed as the club's closer long term but is now likely to see some lower-leverage work in an attempt to get him back on track. Adam Ottavino and Reed Garrett are the likely candidates to step in for save chances in the meantime. Rotowire.com Today, 12:32 pm

    • Escobar: Edwin Díaz’s role with Mets is ‘fluid’
Mets manager Carlos Escobar told reporters that Edwin Diaz’s role with the Mets is “fluid.”

Advice: Fluid, by definition, is not very concrete. Díaz has been horrific over the last week, as he’s seen his ERA jump up to 5.50 from the 2.13 mark he had entering the month by allowing runs in three consecutive appearances. The 30-year-old looked the part prior to these struggles and it’s worth noting he’s a hurler who missed all of 2023 thanks to a fluke injury. Díaz probably won’t be on the mound for the next save chance for the Mets, but New York is going to do everything in its power to try and get the right-hander back on track. Rotoworld Today, 8:45 am

    • Extends hitting streak Saturday
Rodriguez went 2-for-5 with a run in a win over the Orioles on Saturday, extending his hitting streak to six games.

Advice: Much like his season as a whole, Rodriguez's night was a bit of a mixed bag, as he also struck out in his other three plate appearances. Nevertheless, the talented outfielder now boasts a .417 average (10-for-24) during his aforementioned six-game streak, although eight of those hits have been singles. Rodriguez's .269 season average is solid enough, but both his .318 on-base percentage and .330 slugging percentage are notably behind his career norms. Rotowire.com Today, 8:36 am
    • Gets break Sunday
Diaz is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against Milwaukee.

Advice: The 25-year-old will cede catching duties to Victor Caratini as the Astros finish out their series against the Brewers. Diaz has started four of the last five games for Houston, going 3-for-18 with three RBI in that stretch. Rotowire.com Today, 8:31 am
