      Chris Sale allowed two runs in seven innings and took the loss against the Nationals on Friday.

      Advice: Sale gave up five hits, walked one and struck out 10. It was an impressive bounce back performance after he allowed eight runs in his last start. Sale has been tremendous at times this season. While he has a 3.01 ERA on the year, his xFIP is even better at 2.43. The 35-year-old left-hander is set to face the Orioles on the road next week.       Christian Yelich went 3-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base against the Tigers on Friday.

    • Rebounds in losing effort
      Sale (8-2) took the loss Friday against the Nationals, allowing two runs on five hits and a walk over seven innings. He struck out 10.

      Advice: It was a strong bounce-back effort from Sale after he surrendered eight runs against Oakland in his last start. However, Atlanta couldn't get on the board until the eighth inning in an eventual 2-1 defeat. Sale now has eight or more strikeouts in six of his last seven outings. His ERA sits at 3.01 with a 0.94 WHIP and 92:11 K:BB across 12 starts (74.2 innings) this year. Sale's currently in line for a road matchup with the Orioles in his next outing.       Bradish will start Saturday's game against Tampa Bay, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

      Advice: The Orioles' original schedule would have placed Bradish on the mound Thursday against Toronto but he'll get two extra days of rest before taking on the Rays at Tropicana Field. Manager Brandon Hyde said Thursday that Bradish's start wasn't pushed back due to health concerns, so he should be a full go Saturday.       Advice: The Mets believe the 31-year-old right-hander is trending in the right direction. A bullpen session would represent significant progress, though Senga is still without a clear timetable for returning. He’s been out all season recovering from a shoulder injury.       Advice: Holmes gave up a one-out single after entering the game in the ninth frame, but that's all Minnesota managed against him. The talented closer has held opponents without an earned run in 27 of his 28 appearances this season, resulting in an excellent 1.32 ERA.       Advice: The four walks were a season high for Gray, and he also uncorked two wild pitches, one of which allowed a run to score in the fifth inning. Gray's control issues have manifested with five straight starts where he's allowed multiple walks, and he's failed to complete six innings in any of his last four outings. The right-hander is now at a 3.21 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 82:19 K:BB over 61.2 innings through 11 starts this season. Gray is projected to make his next start at home versus the Pirates.
