    Peraza (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment with Single-A Tampa on Tuesday.

    Advice: Peraza is finally ready to test things out in a game setting after working his way back from a right shoulder strain which he initially suffered back in late February. Given how much time he's missed, he will presumably require more than a handful of rehab games.   • Starts in left field
    Duran started in left field and went 0-for-2 in Monday's 4-2 win over Oakland.

    Advice: Duran made his first outfield start of 2024, coming against lefty Alex Wood. He was eventually pinch hit for by Evan Carter when a right-handed reliever entered the game. Duran, who started 32 games in the outfield last season, will be part of the crew that replaces the injured Wyatt Langford (hamstring), who is expected to miss three-to-four weeks. Duran is the lone righty-hitting outfielder in that replacement mix, joining lefties Carter and Travis Jankowski. Of the trio, Carter is expected to get the bulk of the starts. The 24-year-old is slashing just .204/.301/.347 this season while adding three home runs, four steals, 12 RBI, 17 runs scored and five doubles across 113 plate appearances. With Steven Kwan (hamstring) landing on the injured list Monday, Freeman should have more job security in center field while Estevan Florial, Ramon Laureano and Will Brennan combine to fill the corner outfield spots.     Maikel Garcia went 1-for-2 with a two-run RBI single to help lift the Royals to a 3-2 win versus the Brewers on Monday.

    Advice: It wasn’t pretty, but it got the job done. Garcia got great contact on a sinker off Elvis Peguero in the sixth inning that got in between shortstop and second base. According to Statcast, the hit probability was just 41%, but with an exit velocity of 106.5 MPH, Garcia definitely earned the hit.     José Ramírez went 1-for-4 with a home run in Monday’s 2-1 win over the Tigers.

    Advice: Ramírez’s go-ahead home run came in the sixth inning as it hugged the right side of the diamond and hit the foul pole. It was a much-needed run for Cleveland who are now 23-12 through its first 35 games of the season — the team’s best start since 2011.
