    • Brandon Pfaadt strikes out eight Sunday vs. A’s
Brandon Pfaadt recorded eight strikeouts and yielded one run over six innings on Sunday in a no-decision against the Athletics.

Advice: Pfaadt carried a shutout into the fifth inning on Sunday afternoon at Chase Field before coughing up a solo shot to Zack Gelof, which represented the lone tally against him in a low-scoring affair. He generated 13 swinging strikes, utilizing his entire five-pitch arsenal in this one, and finished with a near-elite 37 percent CSW. It was the type of outing fantasy managers have been expecting more consistently this season from the 25-year-old hurler on the heels of last year’s stellar postseason run. He’ll carry a respectable 4.28 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 94/26 K/BB ratio across 103 innings (17 starts) into a road matchup on Saturday against the division-rival Padres. Rotoworld 27 minutes ago
    • Drives in winning runs
Turner went 3-for-5 with two RBI and two strikeouts in Sunday's 7-6 win over the Marlins.

Advice: Turner gave himself the best birthday present by driving in the go-ahead runs in Sunday's win. He hit a two-run single in the seventh to complete the Phillies comeback after trailing 6-2. Turner has had three multi-hit games over his last five and at least one hit in 10 of his last 12. The veteran has been doing very well since returning from the injured list on June 17th and is now hitting .332/.380/.453 for the season.  Rotowire.com 37 minutes ago

    • Sitting versus lefty
Mountcastle is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: The 27-year-old's omission from the lineup is surprising since southpaw Andrew Heaney is taking the mound for Texas. Mountcastle has an .853 OPS versus lefties this season and was also held out of the lineup for Saturday's contest, so it's possible he's dealing with an injury or illness, though nothing has been reported at this point. The lefty-hitting Ryan O'Hearn will instead start at first base Sunday. Rotowire.com Today, 1:16 pm

    • CJ Abrams on base three times Sunday
CJ Abrams went 1-for-2 with two walks and a stolen base on Sunday against the Rays.

Advice: The Nationals offense was quiet in this one despite Abrams’ knack for getting on base. This was the second time in five games Abrams drew multiple walks and his walk total for June got up 11. That’s a welcome sight after he walked just one time the entire month of May. While still inconsistent, there is a lot of development happening for Abrams in a very short period of time. Rotoworld Today, 1:06 pm

    • Ryan Mountcastle out again Sunday vs. Rangers
Ryan Mountcastle is not in the lineup Sunday against the Rangers.

Advice: This makes back-to-back games Mountcastle has missed, but there’s been no injury update. The first baseman will get another day off with Ryan O’Hearn starting at first base and Heston Kjerstad as the designated hitter. Rotoworld Today, 12:24 pm

    • Returning from four-game absence
Candelario (hamstring) will serve as the Reds' designated hitter and No. 3 batter in Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

Advice: After missing out on four straight starts due to hamstring tendinitis, Candelario will draw back into the lineup in a non-defensive role as he makes his fifth start of the season at DH. With Noelvi Marte recently completing his 80-game suspension and likely to see the bulk of the starts at third base moving forward, Candelario could end up picking up most of his playing time at either DH or first base, which should help aid his recovery from the hamstring issue. • Records fourth steal in loss
Raleigh went 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in a loss to the Twins on Saturday.

Advice: Raleigh is much more renowned for his power than his speed, but he's now up to a career-high four stolen bases with Saturday's swipe. The slugging backstop has reached safely in seven straight games, a stretch during which he owns a .429 on-base percentage thanks in large part to a 25.0 percent walk rate. • Logs hit in return
Fraley started at designated hitter and went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in Saturday's 9-4 win over St. Louis.

Advice: Fraley returned to the lineup after missing three games with a calf injury and was given a soft re-entry at DH. The Cardinals have right-hander Lance Lynn scheduled to throw Sunday, so the lefty-hitting Fraley should get another start. Rotowire.com Today, 4:38 am

    • Hit hard by Guardians
Ragans (5-6) took the loss Saturday, coughing up five runs on six hits and a walk over 4.2 innings as the Royals were downed 7-2 by the Guardians. He struck out six.

Advice: The big blow off the southpaw was a two-run blast by rookie Jhonkensy Noel in the fourth inning, but Ragans also got tagged for doubles by Josh Naylor and Jose Ramirez, with the latter chasing him from the game in the fifth after 93 pitches (52 strikes). Ragans hadn't given up more than three runs in a start since May 11, and he'll take a 3.33 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 126:34 K:BB through 102.2 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come on the road next weekend in Colorado.
