    • Cal Raleigh blasts solo homer in loss to O’s
Cal Raleigh went 1-for-4 with a solo homer against the Orioles on Wednesday.

Advice: Raleigh’s solo homer in the sixth inning off Keegan Akin provided the only offense the Mariners could muster on Wednesday against Baltimore. The 27-year-old backstop is hitting .201/.288/.394 with 15 homers, 51 RBI, and four steals across 313 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:42 pm

    • Blake Snell dominates in final rehab start
Blake Snell delivered a dominant performance in his final minor league rehab start at Triple-A Sacramento on Wednesday, piling up nine strikeouts over five scoreless frames.

Advice: The reigning National League Cy Young award winner didn’t allow a hit in the contest, allowing just one base on balls. Snell got up to 67 pitches (46 strikes) in this one, cruising through his five innings. As long as he checks out fine physically, expect him to rejoin the Giants’ rotation next week. • Ryan Mountcastle (illness) returns to action
Ryan Mountcastle (illness) returned to the Orioles’ starting lineup for Wednesday night’s battle against the Mariners.

Advice: Mountcastle sat out each of the team’s previous games due to illness, but he’s now feeling much better and is right back in there as the Orioles’ designated hitter and cleanup hitter. On the season, he’s hitting .273/.317/.460 with 11 homers and 40 RBI in 325 plate appearances over 78 games. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:39 pm
    • Back in lineup
Mountcastle (illness) will serve as Baltimore's designated hitter and bat fourth Wednesday against the Mariners, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: After missing two games while fighting off an illness, Mountcastle will now return to the starting nine against Logan Gilbert and the M's. Mountcastle had gone 4-for-17 with an RBI and a run scored in his last five games before getting sick. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:31 pm
    • Rejoining lineup Wednesday
Martinez (ankle) will be in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nationals, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Advice: The 36-year-old was scratched from Tuesday's starting nine due to ankle soreness, which apparently surfaced because he was forced to try out a new pair of cleats. Martinez has since received another shipment of his usual cleats and shouldn't have any issues going forward. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:35 pm

    • J.D. Martinez (ankle) returns to lineup Wednesday
J.D. Martinez (ankle) returned to the Mets’ starting lineup for Wednesday’s battle against the Nationals.

Advice: Martinez was scratched from the team’s starting lineup on Tuesday due to soreness in his left ankle — that he got from having to use cleats that were emergency ordered from Amazon. Fortunately, Adidas sent him a couple of pairs before his regular shipment is scheduled to arrive, so he should be good to go on Wednesday. The 36-year-old slugger got off to a slow start with the Mets but has been killing it lately. On the season, he’s slashing .278/.360/.493 with 10 homers and 37 RBI in 56 games. • Secures 13th save
Duran struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Tuesday to record his 13th save of the season in a 5-3 win over the Tigers.

Advice: After missing the first month of the season with an oblique strain, Duran has had a little trouble finding his usual form, but he may be coming around. The right-hander has been scored upon only once in his last 11 appearances, posting a 1.64 ERA, 0.55 WHIP and 9:2 K:BB through 11 innings over that stretch while collecting three wins, three saves and a hold. • Homers twice during win
Turner went 3-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI during Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Turner homered off Hayden Wesneski in the third inning to give Philadelphia a 3-0 lead, and then again in the fifth to put the team in front, 5-1. An RBI single in the seventh frame capped off the Phillies' scoring and gave Turner his sixth hit in the past two games. The 31-year-old shortstop is now slashing .367/.406/.667 with two homers and six RBI over his last seven games and has recorded four multi-hit performances in that span. • On base four times in win
Donovan went 3-for-4 with a walk, one RBI and one run scored in Tuesday's 7-4 win over the Pirates.

Advice: Donovan had just six hitless games in June -- two of which were at the start of the month and two more at the end. He got off to a positive start in July with Tuesday's effort, his third three-hit game over his last 11 contests. He's up to a .270/.340/.414 slash line with eight home runs, 42 RBI, 37 runs scored, two stolen bases, 18 doubles and one triple over 79 games. Donovan's hit well enough to have a near-everyday role in left field. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 11:51 pm
