    • Won't start Thursday
Fraley is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Rockies.

Advice: Though he was activated from the family medical emergency list Wednesday, the lefty-hitting Fraley has yet to rejoin the lineup since the Reds have faced lefty starters Kyle Freeland and Austin Gomber on consecutive days. After Thursday's contest, the Reds will begin a three-game series versus the Marlins to wrap up their first-half schedule. The Marlins haven't listed as starter for Friday, but with right-hander Yonny Chirinos tentatively lining up to take the hill, Fraley will most likely be in the Reds lineup for the series opener. • Cleared to start Thursday
Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said that Pfaadt (ankle) will start Thursday's game against Atlanta at Chase Field, Jesse Friedman of GoPHNX.com reports.

Advice: Pfaadt's most recent start Saturday against the Padres was cut short when he was struck on the left ankle by a comebacker, but he was diagnosed with nothing more than a bruise after X-rays returned negative. The right-hander was able to complete his between-starts bullpen session with no apparent discomfort, so he shouldn't face any restrictions when he takes the hill Thursday on his typical four days' rest. • Slugs 24th homer
Ozuna went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and two runs scored in Wednesday's loss to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Ozuna singled in his first at-bat before coming home on a Travis D'Arnaud double in the second as Atlanta took an early 2-0 lead. The All-Star slugger then launched a 441-foot home run in the eighth to score Austin Riley and tie the game at five runs apiece. It was Ozuna's second consecutive two-hit performance and he's now fourth in the majors with 24 long balls on the season, and third in RBI with 75. He's batting .257 (9-for-35) in July with three homers, eight RBI and seven runs scored. Rotowire.com Today, 5:29 am
    • Almost pinch hits
Fraley was announced as a pinch hitter in the ninth inning but was then replaced after a pitching change in Wednesday's 6-5 loss to the Rockies.

Advice: Fraley was sent up to hit for Austin Slater, but was pulled back in favor of Austin Wynns after Colorado brought in left-hander Jalen Beeks. Fraley, who had been away from the team on a personal leave, returned Wednesday. The Rockies are scheduled to throw lefty Austin Gomber on Thursday, so it's unlikely Fraley will start. • Goes deep in win
Suarez went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, three RBI and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 7-5 win over Atlanta.

Advice: Suarez launched a no-doubt, two-run home run to left field in the second inning to tie the game. He later delivered a run with a seventh-inning double. It's a small sample size, but Suarez may be emerging from a season-long slump. He was batting .192 with a .584 OPS as recently as June 23, but the third baseman has posted a .298 average and .942 OPS in the 14 games since, including two home runs and nine RBI over the last four contests. • Eugenio Suárez homers, drives in three in win
Eugenio Suárez went 2-for-4 with a home run, double, two runs scored, and three RBI in the Diamondbacks’ 7-5 win over the Braves on Wednesday.

Advice: Suárez took Charlie Morton deep for a two-run blast in the second inning to put the Diamondbacks on the board. He added a double in the seventh to drive in a third run and scored on a single by Jose Herrera. The 32-year-old third baseman is hitting .208/.293/.345 with eight homers and 43 RBI across 351 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:17 pm
    • Shines in win
Valdez (8-5) allowed one run on six hits and a walk while striking out 10 over seven innings to earn the win over the Marlins on Wednesday.

Advice: This is the seventh time this season Valdez has gone at least seven innings, and he's allowed more than one run in just one of those outings. The southpaw has earned quality starts in four of his last five games, allowing 13 runs (10 earned) over 30.2 innings in that span. For the season, he's at a 3.66 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 82:32 K:BB across 98.1 innings through 16 starts. He's been giving up a lot of hits this season, but he's done a decent job at damage control and could have a strong second half if he can keep traffic off the bases. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:17 pm
    • Marcell Ozuna launches 24th homer vs. D-Backs
Marcell Ozuna went 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored, and two RBI against the Diamondbacks on Wednesday.

Advice: Ozuna knocked a base hit to lead off the second inning for Atlanta and scored on a double by Travis d’Arnaud. With a runner on in the eighth, he took Ryan Thompson deep for a game-tying two-run homer. The 33-year-old slugger is up to 24 homers while hitting .296/.374/.568 with 55 runs scored and 75 RBI across 385 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:14 pm
    • Homers in Wednesday's loss
India went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional RBI in Wednesday's 6-5 loss to the Rockies.

Advice: India was scratched with a left knee contusion Tuesday, and he returned in a non-defensive role as the designated hitter Wednesday. The homer was his second in July, though he's batting just .194 (6-for-31) with three RBI this month. Overall, the second baseman is at a .269/.369/.411 slash line with seven homers, 37 RBI, 44 runs scored, eight stolen bases, 19 doubles and one triple through 350 plate appearances this season.
