• Sent back to Charlotte
The White Sox optioned Ramos to Triple-A Charlotte on Thursday.

Advice: The club will announce a corresponding roster move prior to Friday's game in Milwaukee. Ramos had been 0-for-14 with five strikeouts in five games since returning from a quadriceps injury. The 22-year-old will head back to Charlotte for some more seasoning, and the White Sox will probably now give the bulk of the playing time at third base to Danny Mendick. Rotowire.com Today, 8:38 am
  • Swipes fourth bag
Vargas went 1-for-3 with a run scored and a stolen base in Wednesday's win over Atlanta.

Advice: The 32-year-old utility player began the game on the bench but took over at third base when Nick Senzel fouled a ball off his knee in the second inning. Vargas has posted career-best numbers to begin this season, slashing .298/.383/.404 through 109 plate appearances with four steals, seven RBI and 11 runs. If Senzel misses any time, Vargas would be the next man up at the hot corner. Rotowire.com Today, 8:29 am

  • Stays hot Wednesday
Kiner-Falefa went 1-for-3 with a walk and two RBI in Wednesday's win over the White Sox.

Advice: The 29-year-old utility player fueled the Blue Jays' offense in a 3-1 victory, singling home the game-winning run in the fourth inning and driving home an insurance run in the sixth. Kiner-Falefa has hit safely in eight straight games, batting an even .400 (12-for-30) over that stretch to boost his slash line on the season to .270/.320/.409 with four homers, three steals, 17 runs and 17 RBI in 54 contests. IKF's .729 OPS would be a career high if he can maintain that pace through the summer. Rotowire.com Today, 7:43 am
  • Not in Thursday's lineup
Davis is absent from the lineup for Thursday's contest in Tampa Bay.

Advice: Davis is on the bench for a second straight day. The Rays are using a right-handed opener in Shawn Armstrong, so it's possible Davis enters mid-game if Tampa Bay eventually turns to a lefty. Davis has a .776 OPS against southpaws this season versus just a .581 OPS versus righties. Aledmys Diaz will start at first base Thursday. Rotowire.com Today, 7:18 am

  • Rehab games scheduled
Perdomo (knee) will play in the Arizona Complex League this weekend before heading out on a rehab assignment early next week, Arizona Sports reports.

Advice: Perdomo suffered a right meniscus tear April 3 and had surgery. The report does not indicate which minor-league affiliate he'll be joining or give an estimated number of reps he'll need. Perdomo will return as the Diamondbacks' starting shortstop, which has been handled by Blaze Alexander and Kevin Newman while Perdomo has been unavailable. Rotowire.com Today, 4:07 am

  • Homers in victory
Urias went 2-for-2 with a solo home run, two total runs and two total RBI in a 6-1 win against Boston on Wednesday.

Advice: Urias singled home a run in the second inning and tacked on a solo homer in the seventh. The productive output came in a rare start for the infielder, who was in the lineup for just the third time over the Orioles' past eight games. Urias has struggled to gain traction on offense this season, slashing .219/.265/.344 with two homers, five RBI and 11 runs through 68 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:40 pm

  • Crushes grand slam Wednesday
Henderson went 1-for-4 with a grand slam in Wednesday's 6-1 win over the Red Sox.

Advice: The majority of Baltimore's scoring output came on Henderson's second-inning, 422-foot grand slam. It was the young shortstop's second career grand slam and 18th homer of the campaign, tying him with Kyle Tucker for the MLB lead. Henderson also ranks seventh in the league with a .938 OPS. • Still not swinging
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Tuesday that Muncy is on a "slow program" due to lingering oblique soreness and isn't currently swinging a bat, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Advice: Muncy resumed baseball activities last Tuesday, but his progress has since been slowed by continued soreness in his oblique. The third baseman is already eligible to be activated off the IL, but given Roberts' comments, it doesn't seem like Muncy is on the cusp of returning. He'll almost certainly head out on a minor-league rehab assignment prior to rejoining Los Angeles' lineup. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:10 pm

  • Notches second steal
Ortiz went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, one stolen base and three runs scored in Wednesday's 10-6 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Ortiz has drawn a walk in three straight games. His steal Wednesday was his second of the year, which has come on four attempts. The infielder is enjoying a strong first year with the Brewers, slashing .280/.382/.492 with five home runs, 18 RBI, 21 runs scored, nine doubles and two triples over 158 plate appearances. Ortiz got a chance to lead off in Wednesday's game -- the first time he's done so all season -- after batting no higher than fifth over the last week. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:00 pm
