Freddy Peralta struggles with command Saturday
Freddy Peralta struggled with his command in a no-decision against the Tigers on Saturday afternoon, giving up four runs (three earned) on four hits and five walks in just 3 1/3 innings of work.
Advice: The right-hander struck out three batters on the day. He had to really labor to get 10 outs in the ballgame, needing 94 pitches (56 strikes) to do so. Most of the damage came during a three-run uprising in the second inning as Carson Kelly and Mark Canha contributed run-scoring singles. Peralta got just five swings and misses in the contest, posting an underwhelming CSW of only 24 percent. He’ll attempt to bounce back as he carries a 3.95 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and a 92/26 K/BB ratio (70 2/3 innings) into Friday’s matchup against the Reds.
