    • James Outman tallies four hits, homers Friday at AAA
      James Outman went 4-for-6 with a three-run homer and four RBI on Friday for Triple-A Oklahoma City.

      Advice: Outman was demoted to the minors a couple weeks ago after posting a disastrous .516 OPS with three homers and two steals in 36 games for Los Angeles, but he appears to be finding his groove at the dish again. The 27-year-old’s four-hit performance gives him a 1.245 OPS with three homers and four steals in just 10 games for Triple-A Oklahoma City.     • Marcus Semien returns to lineup Friday vs. Marlins
      Marcus Semien singled on Friday in his return to the Rangers’ lineup.

      Advice: Semien was held out of the lineup for Wednesday’s series finale against the Diamondbacks due to some lingering general soreness following a collision with teammate Adolis García earlier this month.       Neto went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases in Friday's 5-4 loss to the Mariners.

      Advice: Neto singled and then stole second and third in the seventh inning, but he wasn't brought home. The shortstop had gone 16 games without a stolen base, though he hit a respectable .264 (14-for-53) with seven extra-base hits in that span.       William Contreras picked up three hits and drove in a run in a win Friday over the White Sox.

      Advice: Contreras, 26, also scored twice. The Brewers were able to reach 23 times via hit and six times on walks, and somewhat amazingly none of those hits went over the fence.       Cardinals’ manager Oli Marmol told reporters on Friday that Lars Nootbaar is dealing with a moderate oblique strain and is expected to miss several weeks.

      Advice: It won’t be a minimum stint on the injured list for the 26-year-old outfielder this time around. It sounds like he’s looking at an extended absence and will then require a minor league rehab assignment before he’s able to return to the Cardinals’ outfield.       The Cardinals placed Nootbaar on the 10-day injured list Friday, retroactive to May 30, with a left oblique strain.

      Advice: Nootbaar suffered the injury on a check swing during Wednesday's win over the Reds. It's the outfielder's second stint on the IL this season, as he previously missed time with two fractured ribs. The timing is poor, as Nootbaar was slashing .313/.418/.552 with four home runs over his last 79 plate appearances.
