    • William Contreras (head) available off bench
William Contreras is available to come off the bench Monday after leaving Sunday’s game with a head injury.

Advice: Contreras hasn’t had any concussion symptoms today, so the Brewers are confident that he’s going to be OK. They did have Gary Sánchez start behind the plate tonight, but Contreras is available to hit and play defense. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:20 pm
    • Available off bench
Contreras (head) is available to pinch-hit or enter the game defensively off the bench Monday versus the Angels, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Advice: Contreras will be forced to miss his second contest of the season after taking a shot to the head while applying the tag at home plate to finish Sunday's 5-4 win over the Reds, but manager Pat Murphy said Monday that the catcher "is going to be fine." Contreras appears to have avoided any significant injury, which is music to the ears of fantasy managers who have reaped the benefits of his stellar play in 2024. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:09 pm
    • Not starting Monday
Contreras (head) is not in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Angels.

Advice: Contreras was evaluated for concussion following Sunday's 5-4 win over the Reds after his head collided with Stuart Fairchild on a tag at home plate in the ninth inning. With Contreras out for the series opener Monday, Gary Sanchez will start behind home plate and bat eighth against Halos right-hander Jose Soriano. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:01 pm
    • William Contreras being evaluated for concussion
Brewers’ manager Pat Murphy said after Sunday’s victory over the Reds that William Contreras is being evaluated for a possible concussion.

Advice: Contreras took a glancing blow off of his head or neck on the final play of the game as Blake Perkins nailed the potential tying run at the plate to end the ballgame. The 26-year-old backstop remained on the ground for a few minutes afterwards, but ultimately was able to get up under his own power and was able to celebrate with his teammates. It doesn’t sound like anything serious, but fantasy managers may want to have an alternative option on hand for next week just to be on the safe side. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:43 pm
    • Being evaluated for concussion
Contreras is being evaluated for a concussion following Sunday's 5-4 win over the Reds, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Contreras took a shot to the head when he collided with Stuart Fairchild at home plate, applying the tag for the final out of the contest. The catcher was slow to get up, and he'll now undergo some additional testing to determine the severity of the injury. The Brewers will start a three-game series on the road against the Angels on Monday. If Contreras is forced to miss any action, Gary Sanchez would likely take over behind the plate. • Receiving first day off
Contreras is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers.

Advice: The 26-year-old was scheduled to sit last weekend but convinced his way back into the lineup, so it's possible the Brewers make another late lineup change. For now, Contreras is set to be on the bench for the first time this season after making 64 straight starts to begin 2024. He's struggled early in June with a .492 OPS through seven contests and is homerless in his past 60 at-bats, so it's a good time for some extra rest. Gary Sanchez will work behind the plate and bat fifth Sunday. Rotowire.com Jun 9, 7:39 am
    • William Contreras out Sunday against Tigers
William Contreras is not in the starting lineup Sunday against the Tigers.

Advice: Contreras was supposed to get his first day off of the season last Sunday, but he and Willy Adames were both inserted into the lineup later. Assuming the lineup doesn’t change, Contreras will finally get that day of rest. Gary Sanchez is the starting catcher and hitting fifth. Rotoworld Jun 9, 7:39 am
