    • Emmanuel Clase locks down 18th save
Emmanuel Clase tossed a perfect ninth inning to earn the save against the Nationals on Saturday.

Advice: Clase was summoned in the ninth inning to close it out with a one-run lead over the Nationals. He slammed the door quickly, needing only eight pitches to secure the win and lock down his 18th save of the season. The 26-year-old right-hander has allowed just one run with a 29/2 K/BB ratio across 29 1/3 innings. Rotoworld 11 minutes ago
    • Struck by comebacker
Ginkel was hit in the left leg by a comebacker during Saturday's game against the Mets and was removed from the game, Jesse Friedman of GoPHNX.com reports. He threw one perfect inning before the incident.

Advice: Ginkel was the first arm out of the bullpen for the Diamondbacks on Saturday, replacing Slade Cecconi late in the fifth inning. The 30-year-old retired the first two batters he faced before getting hit by a 98 MPH comebacker from Brandon Nimmo, who was still thrown out at first. Bryce Jarvis replaced Ginkel on the mound. • Yusei Kikuchi hit hard in loss to Pirates Saturday
Yusei Kikuchi was hit hard in Saturday afternoon’s loss to the Pirates, giving up six runs (five earned) on nine hits over his 5 1/3 innings of work.

Advice: The 32-year-old southpaw struck out four batters on the afternoon while issuing one base on balls. The Pirates jumped on him for three runs in the opening inning, including a two-run blast off the bat of Ke’Bryan Hayes. Kikuchi then settled in until they scratched out two more in the fifth and another while chasing him in the sixth inning. He generated 12 swings and misses on 89 pitches on the day, posting a CSW of 28 percent. He’ll look to get back on track as he carries a 3.66 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and a 65/14 K/BB ratio (66 1/3 innings) into Thursday’s matchup against the Orioles. Rotoworld Today, 2:55 pm
    • Kodai Senga (shoulder) still just playing catch
Mets manager Carlos Mendoza told reporters Saturday that Kodai Senga (shoulder) has yet to progress to a bullpen session.

Advice: Mendoza adds that Senga is still playing light catch and there is no plan yet for him to advance to throwing off a mound. The 30-year-old righty has been out all season recovering from a right shoulder injury and remains without a definitive timeline to return. Rotoworld Today, 11:34 am

    • Day off Saturday
Heim is not in the starting lineup Saturday versus the Marlins.

Advice: Heim will take a seat after he went 3-for-22 with a double, two RBI and a run scored while starting the team's last six contests. Andrew Knizner will take over behind the plate and bat ninth against Miami. Rotowire.com Today, 10:44 am

    • Could be back Tuesday
Robert (hip) will serve as the designated hitter Sunday with Triple-A Charlotte and will be re-evaluated afterward to potentially be activated from the injured list, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Even with the positive news, manager Pedro Grifol cautioned that Robert won't return as an everyday player and will need a scheduled day off between every 2-to-4 games. Robert has appeared in three games with Charlotte to date, going 1-for-12 with a home run and five strikeouts. Rotowire.com Today, 9:07 am

    • Goes deep again Friday
Happ went 1-for-3 with a walk, a two-run home run and three total RBI in Friday's 5-4 loss to the Reds.

Advice: Happ did his best to keep the Cubs in the game, launching his sixth home run of the season in the second inning, then walking home a run with the bases loaded in the fifth. The outfielder has gone deep four times over his last six games, and he has a robust 1.184 OPS during the stretch. Happ's overall numbers don't look as good, but he's worth riding with while he's hot. Rotowire.com Today, 5:56 am

    • Ends homer drought
Suarez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 10-9 loss to the Mets.

Advice: Suarez went yard in the sixth inning for just his fourth home run in 56 games this season. The blast ended a 19-game stretch without a home run and was his first hit in 13 at-bats. Suarez is batting .211 with a .597 OPS, 26 RBI and 21 runs scored in his first season with the Diamondbacks. Rotowire.com Today, 5:37 am
    • Luis Robert Jr. goes 0-for-5 on Friday at Triple-A
Luis Robert Jr. (hip) went 0-for-5 with two strikeouts on Friday in a minor league rehab contest for Triple-A Charlotte.

Advice: Robert has gone 1-for-12 with a home run in three games for Triple-A Charlotte on his rehab assignment. There’s optimism that he’ll be ready to return early next week, but he’s going to get a couple more minor-league games under his belt this weekend to continue knocking off the rust.
