      Advice: Jeffers took Logan Gilbert deep in the second inning to extend Minnesota’s lead to 6-1. Jeffers also drove in a run with a sacrifice fly in the eighth.       Rooker went 5-for-9 with a walk, two doubles, a home run, four runs scored and three RBI across both games of Wednesday's doubleheader split with the Rangers.

      Advice: The 29-year-old did most of his damage in the matinee, slugging a three-run homer in the seventh inning off Cole Winn. Rooker has hit safely in six of the last seven games, batting .462 (12-for-26) with three doubles, four long balls, 10 runs, 11 RBI and a strong 5:5 BB:K.       Advice: After going 0-for-1 as a pinch hitter in a 9-4 loss during the matinee, Smith got the start at shortstop in the nightcap and swiped his first bag of the year in a wild 12-11 victory. The 26-year-old infielder has been productive of late, slashing .297/.422/.541 over the last 12 games with a homer, five RBI and nine runs, but his 6:14 BB:K during that stretch -- not to mention his .373 BABIP on the season -- suggests regression is coming for his batting average.       Ozuna went 2-for-3 with two home runs and four RBI in Wednesday's win over the Red Sox.

      Advice: Ozuna jumped on a hanging four-seamer from Nick Pivetta in the bottom of the first and launched it into the stands in right field for a three-run shot to put Atlanta on the board. The veteran slugger followed up with another long ball in the third, this time a solo shot on the first pitch he saw, giving him a league-leading 12 home runs on the season.
