    • Andy Pages takes golden sombrero in victory
Andy Pages went 0-for-5 with four strikeouts while the rest of the Dodgers were scoring 10 runs Tuesday against the Giants.

Advice: Jason Heyward has started a rehab assignment, so this is a really bad time for Pages to go cold. He seems like the more interesting of those two players at this point, but the Dodgers still might send him down if they think Heyward can make at least a modest contribution. • Jeffers’ homer gives Twins lone run vs. Yankees
Ryan Jeffers went 1-for-4 with a home run in Tuesday’s loss to the Yankees.

Advice: Carlos Rodón’s second pitch of the evening was sent 429 feet into the left field stands by Jeffers, who got the scoring started with a leadoff homer. It was Jeffers’ 10th home run of the season, as he’s well on pace to top his previous career high of 14 before the all-star break. Jeffers is now slashing .278/.308/.806 in the month of May with five homers and 13 RBI. Rotoworld Today, 7:34 pm

    • Teoscar Hernández goes 0-for-5 against Giants
Teoscar Hernández finished 0-for-5 with three strikeouts against the Giants on Monday.

Advice: Hernández is having a terrific fantasy campaign with his 11 homers and 33 RBI in 43 games, but the .244 average, .307 OBP and 30.6% strikeout rate aren’t exactly encouraging. It’s a good thing he plays for the Dodgers, because Statcast thinks he’d have fewer homers hitting anywhere else and he also probably wouldn’t be batting with as many runners on base. • Clubs homer Monday
Profar went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in Monday's 5-4 loss to the Rockies.

Advice: Profar has hit safely in eight of 11 games in May, going 13-for-40 (.325) with three homers and 10 RBI this month. The 31-year-old is slashing .320/.402/.517 with seven long balls, 29 RBI, 23 runs scored, eight doubles and two stolen bases over 44 contests. Profar's best season in the majors was the abbreviated 2020 campaign, and he hit just nine homers with 46 RBI over 125 games last year -- he'll likely post stronger marks in 2024, but his current pace will be tough to sustain. • Goes deep in loss
Toro went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Mariners.

Advice: Toro launched his fourth home run of the year to begin the sixth off Luis Castillo. It's a continuation of what's been a ridiculously hot stretch at the plate for Toro. Over his last 16 games, the 27-year-old is slashing .410/.455/.607 with two homers, nine RBI and 12 runs scored. He has led off in six straight games, all against righties, and has been more of a middle-of-the-order hitter against southpaws. For the season, Toro is now slashing .299/.351/.460 with 13 extra-base hits, 17 RBI, 20 runs and a 7:26 BB:K in 148 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:17 am

    • Stays hot Sunday
Santana went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Santana took Toronto's starter Alek Manoah deep for a three-run shot in the top of the seventh inning, breaking a 0-0 tie. The homer was his seventh of the season, and he has now gone deep in three consecutive contests. Since May 5, Santana has gone 9-for-23 with three home runs, eight RBI and five runs scored over eight games. Rotowire.com Sunday, 3:23 pm

    • Carlos Santana homers in third straight game
Carlos Santana homered in a third straight game Sunday against the Blue Jays.

Advice: It’s the second time in three weeks that he’s homered in three straight games, which is kind of weird, in that he’s hit just one homer in his other 31 games. The three-run shot today accounted for all of the runs off Alek Manoah in the game. Santana also had a single. He’s upped his OPS from .601 to .697 the last three days. Rotoworld Sunday, 1:30 pm

    • Ryan Jeffers out Sunday against Blue Jays
Ryan Jeffers is not in the starting lineup versus the Blue Jays on Sunday.

Advice: Jeffers will get Sunday off for the series finale against the Jays. Christian Vazquez is starting behind the plate and hitting seventh. Rotoworld Sunday, 9:08 am

    • Getting first day off of 2024
Altuve is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Advice: After being limited to playing in 90 games in 2023, Altuve is off to a healthy start to 2024. He's started in each of Houston's first 39 games, but he'll be on the bench Sunday in what looks to be a routine maintenance day. Mauricio Dubon will check in at second base for Altuve, who gets the day off while he's in the midst of a minor slump at the dish. Altuve has gone 3-for-21 with seven strikeouts over his last five starts. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:18 am
