    • Two more steals Sunday
Rengifo went 2-for-4 with two steals and a run in Sunday's 9-7 win over the Angels. He was also hit by a pitch.

Advice: Rengifo ended a mini 0-for-8 skid at the plate with two hits Sunday and managed to swipe two more bags to bring him up to 17 for the year. Rengifo already has five steals in eight games this month and now sits tied for sixth in baseball. He now has eight multi-hit efforts over his last 18 games and continues to be one of the most consistent hitters in the Angels' lineup. The 27-year-old is now slashing .316/.367/.448 with four homers, 18 RBI, 25 runs and a 12:27 BB:K in 189 plate appearances. Rotowire.com 13 minutes ago

    • Monster day at plate
O'Hoppe went 4-for-5 with a two-run homer, a double, a steal and three runs scored in Sunday's 9-7 win over the Astros.

Advice: O'Hoppe tallied his second four-hit game of the season and also managed to swipe his first base of the year. Most of his damage came in the later innings, as he scored all three of his runs from the sixth inning and on. He saved his biggest hit of the day for last, as he took Josh Hader deep on the first pitch he saw to walk things off for the Angels and cap off an excellent offensive showing. O'Hoppe is now riding a mini four-game hit streak and has eight hits over that span. After his monstrous performance, the 24-year-old backstop is slashing .269/.322/.446 with eight homers, 28 RBI, 27 runs and a 13:51 BB:K in 209 plate appearances. Rotowire.com 20 minutes ago
    • Charged with loss
Hader (3-4) took the loss Sunday against the Angels after allowing two runs on two hits while striking out a batter over two-thirds of an inning.

Advice: Hader faced five total batters but only was able to record two outs. He entered with two outs in the eighth and got out of the frame. He then returned for the ninth to try and preserve a 7-7 tie and was unable to do so. Hader retired the first batter he faced but then allowed a base hit and a walk off two-run homer to Logan O'Hoppe. It was Hader's first time allowing multiple runs in an outing since April 15 and his first loss since May 5. It's now been a full week since Hader's picked up his last save and he sits at nine for the year after tallying 30+ in each of his last four full seasons. He owns a 4.08 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 46:10 K:BB in 28.2 innings thus far. Rotowire.com 27 minutes ago
    • Works four frames in rehab start
Silseth (elbow) struck out seven over four scoreless innings while allowing three hits and no walks in his second rehab start Thursday in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League.

Advice: Silseth has now turned in seven scoreless frames over his first two rehab outings in Arizona. Though Silseth has yet to walk a batter in either start, he hasn't exhibited pristine control, as he's uncorked two wild pitches and has hit two batters between those contests. More importantly, however, Silseth hasn't experienced any setbacks with his right elbow and has continued to increase his workload. He built up to 56 pitches Thursday and could reach the 70-pitch mark in his third rehab start, which will likely come Tuesday or Wednesday with a yet-to-be-determined affiliate. After he completes his next rehab start, Silseth could be cleared to return from the 60-day injured list and slot back into the Angels rotation. Rotowire.com 29 minutes ago

    • Struggles continue against Angels
Verlander did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 9-7 loss to the Angels, allowing four runs on seven hits and no walks while striking out three over five innings.

Advice: Verlander had another pedestrian outing against one of the weaker lineups in baseball. The positives were that he didn't allow a home run or walk a batter, though he did give up seven hits for a second straight start and isn't missing many bats, evidenced by his 2.9 swinging strike percentage Sunday. Verlander has just seven strikeouts over his last 10 innings, and this is after coming off of back-to-back nine strikeout performances to end May. The 41-year-old will take a 3.95 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 51:17 K:BB (57 innings) into his next start against the Tigers over the weekend. Rotowire.com 36 minutes ago
    • Moving into rotation Tuesday
Suarez is scheduled to start Tuesday's game against the Diamondbacks at Chase Field.

Advice: Suarez made 58 starts for the Angels over the past five seasons, but after losing out in a battle for a rotation spot in spring training, he's been working exclusively as a reliever in 2024 and has posted a 6.54 ERA, 1.67 WHIP and 34:20 K:BB in 31.2 innings. He won't be moving into the rotation on merit, but he'll nonetheless slot into the starting spot that had been previously occupied by the struggling Reid Detmers, who was recently demoted to Triple-A Salt Lake. Even if Suarez acquits himself well in a starting role Tuesday, he could be headed back to the bullpen immediately thereafter with Chase Silseth (elbow) nearing a return from the 60-day injured list. • Picks up third win
Barnes (3-2) was credited with the win Sunday over Atlanta, walking one and striking out one in a scoreless inning of relief.

Advice: DJ Herz got the start but lasted only 4.1 innings, and Barnes was the next pitcher on the mound with the Nationals ahead 7-2. The 34-year-old right-hander has been inconsistent in a low-leverage role, posting a 4.35 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 15:7 K:BB through 20.2 innings, and he has zero holds or saves in 20 appearances. • Swipes bag Sunday
Meyers went 2-for-5 with a stolen base in Sunday's loss to the Angels.

Advice: Meyers notched his first base hit of the afternoon to lead off the fourth and would steal second before the inning ended. It was his fifth theft of the year and his third since May 29. He also roped a double in the seventh, which was his first extra-base hit since he homered May 24. Overall, the 28-year-old is slashing .263/.328/.431 with six homers, 25 RBI, 18 runs and a 13:37 BB:K in 184 plate appearances. Rotowire.com 47 minutes ago
    • Collects steal No. 10
Abrams went 1-for-5 with a double, three RBI and a stolen base in Sunday's win over Atlanta.

Advice: The shortstop came through with one of the big blows in a seven-run fourth inning for the Nationals, smashing a bases-loaded double into the right-field corner, and Abrams then promptly stole third base. The two-bagger was his 12th of the season while the steal was his 10th, and Abrams might be coming out of his prolonged slump -- he's hit safely in four straight games and five of the last six with three extra-base hits (two doubles and a homer), two steals, three runs and five RBI.
