      Brayan Bello allowed seven runs on five hits in 2 1/3 innings in a loss to the Blue Jays on Tuesday.

      Advice: Bello held the Blue Jays scoreless for the first two innings, but the wheels fell off in a big way in the third inning. The first six batters of the inning reached before Bello could get a groundout, but then a home run to George Springer chased him from the game. The right-hander did get six whiffs on 20 swings in his limited time but he threw on 42 percent of his pitches in the strike zone and had no feel for anything on the night. After a strong start to the season, Bello has struggled over his final seven starts, and the loss of feel for his changeup, which has been his primary pitch in his young career, is concerning.       Webb (6-6) took the loss Sunday against St. Louis, allowing four runs on nine hits and two walks across six innings. He struck out eight.

      Advice: Webb struggled early, yielding two doubles and two singles as part of a three-run first inning before surrendering another run in the second frame. While Webb settled in afterward, the damage was already done, as the Giants failed to generate a hit until the seventh inning. The 27-year-old has completed at least six innings in nine consecutive starts and matched his season high in strikeouts Sunday. He's one of five players with 100 innings pitched this season and owns a 3.16 ERA and a 91:23 K:BB. Webb is scheduled for a home start against the Dodgers next weekend.       Advice: While the fact that Harrison hasn't been shut down from activity one week after landing on the injured list is an encouraging sign, the Giants still aren't counting on the 22-year-old lefty to rejoin the rotation until July. With all of Harrison, Blake Snell (groin) and Keaton Winn (elbow) going on the IL within the past three weeks, the Giants are left with Logan Webb and Jordan Hicks as the only healthy members of their season-opening rotation. Webb may be more of an SP2 in fantasy baseball than the ace many wanted him to be coming into this year, but he’s a rock-solid starter who will carry a 3.16 ERA into a tough start against the Dodgers next weekend.       Sanchez (5-3) earned the win Sunday, allowing three hits and striking out four over seven scoreless innings against the Diamondbacks.

      Advice: Sanchez was highly efficient, needing just 80 pitches through seven and facing just one batter over the minimum thanks to a couple of timely double plays. The seven innings matched a season high for Sanchez, who tossed his eighth quality start and allowed zero runs over six or more innings for the second time this season. It's also the fifth time in his last six starts that Sanchez has allowed one or fewer runs, and he's posted a 1.78 ERA and 1.05 WHIP with 23 strikeouts over 35.1 innings during that stretch.       Cristopher Sánchez shut out the Diamondbacks for seven innings, surrendering just three hits, in the Phillies’ 4-1 win Sunday.

      Advice: Sánchez walked none and struck out four in the 80-pitch outing. He gave up a 387-foot fly to Christian Walker in the first that would have been a homer in nine ballparks, but CBP wasn’t one of them.       Phillies signed LHP Cristopher Sánchez to a four-year contract extension with club options for 2029 and 2030.

      Advice: The long-term extension, which was first reported earlier on Saturday by the New York Post’s Jon Heyman, is now official. The deal essentially buys out Sanchez’s remaining arbitration-eligible seasons with club options for his first two free agent years. No word yet on the exact financial terms. It wasn’t looking good for Philadelphia a couple years ago when Curtis Mead blossomed into one of the most promising prospects in baseball after being shipped to Tampa Bay for Sánchez. However, the pendulum has swung back the other way with Mead struggling in the majors and Sánchez turning into a reliable mid-rotation stabilizer.
