    • Manny Machado (hip) rejoins Padres lineup as DH
Manny Machado is in the lineup as a DH for Monday’s game against the A’s.

Advice: Machado missed four starts after hurting his hip Wednesday. He’s batting fifth tonight, with Jurickson Profar remaining in the third spot. Machado has moved around the middle of the Padres lineup some this season, but he did hit third in the three games preceding his injury. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:45 pm
    • Mitch Garver takes a seat Monday
Mitch Garver is on the bench Monday after going 4-for-13 with two homers and five walks the last four days.

Advice: Garver’s little hot streak, which raised his OPS from .572 to .630, hasn’t put him back in the lineup on a full-time basis just yet. The Marlins have Mitch Haniger DHing tonight. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:28 pm
    • Getting Monday night off
Pasquantino is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Yankees.

Advice: Kansas City will lean on a right-handed-heavy lineup to counter Yankees southpaw Carlos Rodon, so Pasquantino and fellow lefty-hitting regulars MJ Melendez and Kyle Isbel will hit the bench for the series opener. Pasquantino had started in each of the Royals' previous nine contests, recording at least one hit in eight of those contests while slashing .333/.357/.667 with two home runs and 10 RBI during that stretch. • Returning to lineup Monday
Padres manager Mike Shildt said in an interview on MLB Network Radio on SiriusXM that Machado (hip) will be back in the lineup Monday versus the Athletics as the team's designated hitter.

Advice: Machado was held out of the lineup for the previous four games due to a strained right hip flexor, although he was able to pinch hit once over that stretch. He will be eased back into the mix Monday as the club's DH, with a return to third base coming "hopefully sooner than later," per Shildt. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:04 pm
    • Report: Yankees might eye lefty relievers
According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, it “would be ideal” for the Yankees to pursue a “wipeout lefty” before the trade deadline.

Advice: Rosenthal specifically mentions Marlins’ Tanner Scott or Andrew Nardi and acknowledges that “The acquisition cost for a pre-arbitration reliever such as Nardi...would be considerably higher.” He also mentions that the Yankees would be open to high-strikeout-rate right-handed relievers as well, but a lefty is an ideal fit. This, of course, highlights one of the threats to Tanner Scott’s fantasy value as he would almost certainly lose his closer role if he were traded to the Yankees. You’re unlikely to get much for Scott in a trade in fantasy leagues, but his time as a closer appears to be running out with the trade deadline looming. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:17 am
    • Slugs ninth homer
Chisholm went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Guardians.

Advice: The center fielder took Carlos Carrasco deep to lead off the fourth inning and get the Marlins on the board. Chisholm isn't making consistent contact, but he's on pace for career highs in the counting stats, and over the last 12 games he's slashing .250/.284/.469 with three of his nine homers and three of his 12 steals on the season. • Steals home in win
Garcia went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's 7-2 win over the Giants.

Advice: Garcia stole home as part of a double-steal in the first inning, the third time he's stolen home in his career. It was his fifth theft of the season. The slugger has been grinding at the dish; his first-inning single snapped an 0-for-16 run. For the season, Garcia is batting just .217 with a career-low .699 OPS through 62 games. • Smacks two doubles
Greene went 2-for-4 with two doubles, a walk, one run scored and one RBI in Sunday's win versus Milwaukee.

Advice: Greene broke out of a 2-for-19 slump Sunday, hitting two doubles to raise his season total to 14. The 23-year-old has shown improved power this season, matching last season's total of 11 home runs in 149 fewer plate appearances. On the season, the left fielder is slashing .243/.342/.451 with 11 home runs, 25 RBI and 43 runs scored over 272 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Sunday, 4:19 pm

    • Jazz Chisholm homers in loss to Guardians
Jazz Chisholm Jr. went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Guardians on Sunday.

Advice: Jazz absolutely demolished a fourth-inning offering from Carlos Carrasco 440 feet and 108.1 mph for his ninth home run of the season. The 26-year-old has lowered his strikeout rate and raised his walk rate this season, but it hasn’t led to much of an improvement in batting average. Still, he’s likely going to hit 20 home runs with at least 25 steals, which makes him a great bat for your fantasy teams. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:47 pm
