    • Ronald Acuña Jr. not in Braves lineup on Wednesday
Ronald Acuña Jr. is not in the Braves’ starting lineup for Wednesday night’s showdown against the Cubs.

Advice: It looks to be nothing more than a routine day of rest for the 26-year-old superstar. Michael Harris II will move up to the leadoff spot in the Braves’ order while Adam Duvall will draw a rare start against a right-hander and will bat sixth against Javier Assad and the Cubs on Wednesday evening in Atlanta. • Gets first day off of season
Acuna is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cubs, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Advice: Acuna is on the bench for the series finale, but his absence doesn't appear to be anything more than a much-needed maintenance day after he had started in right field in each of Atlanta's first 39 games of the season. Adam Duvall will step in as the starting right fielder in place of Acuna, who is in the midst of a cool stretch at the plate with just four hits in 31 at-bats over his last eight starts. • Luis Arraez not in Padres’ lineup on Wednesday
Luis Arraez is not in the Padres’ starting lineup for Wednesday’s tilt against the Rockies.

Advice: It looks to be nothing more than a routine day of rest for the two-time defending batting champion. Manny Machado will function as the team’s designated hitter on Wednesday while Donovan Solano will draw a start at third base and bat sixth against left-hander Austin Gomber and the Rockies. Jurickson Profar will slide up to the leadoff spot in the Padres’ lineup. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:00 pm
    • Jackson Chourio swats 441-foot homer in blowout
Jackson Chourio went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer on Wednesday in the Brewers’ blowout win over the Pirates.

Advice: Chourio obliterated a 441-foot no-doubter to left field off Pirates veteran lefty Martín Pérez in the sixth inning for his fifth round-tripper of the season. The 20-year-old top prospect has undoubtedly been scuffling at the plate recently, but this was the type of moonshot that could potentially get him going again. It was his first time leaving the yard since April 20. He’s still a work in progress, but he’s shown flashes of immense five-category fantasy upside so far in his Brewers debut. It’s only a matter of time before he makes the leap to superstardom. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:56 pm
    • Taking seat Wednesday
Arraez is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rockies.

Advice: Arraez will get his second day off since he was acquired from the Marlins earlier this month. The Padres will have Manny Machado fill the designated-hitter spot while Donovan Solano covers third base. Jurickson Profar will bat leadoff in Arraez's stead. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:18 am
    • Runs bases Wednesday
Thomas (knee) ran the bases Wednesday, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: Thomas is running again for the first time since being diagnosed with a Grade 2 MCL sprain in his left knee three weeks ago. Zuckerman notes that Thomas wasn't running at full effort but seemed to be moving at close to 100 percent speed. Running the bases is typically one of the last steps a player coming back from a knee injury takes before embarking on a rehab assignment, though it's not yet clear when Thomas might report to a minor-league affiliate for game action. • Lane Thomas runs the bases before game
Lane Thomas, coming back from a sprained MCL in his left knee, ran the bases at Nationals Park prior to Wednesday’s game.

Advice: MASN’s Mark Zuckerman said he wasn’t quite running at 100 percent but wasn’t all that far below that. Thomas has also been hitting, and barring a setback, he should return before the end of the month. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:49 am

    • Gets fourth straight start
Chourio will start in left field and bat eighth in Wednesday's game against the Pirates.

Advice: Chourio was on the bench for a stretch of four straight games from last Wednesday through Saturday, but he's now picked up starts in each of the subsequent four contests. Though he's reached base only twice over his last nine contests and carries a weak .579 OPS for the season into Wednesday's game, Chourio could nonetheless continue to see near-everyday playing time while Jake Bauers sees less time in the corner outfield and fills in at first base for the injured Rhys Hoskins (hamstring). Additionally, the struggling Blake Perkins -- who sat against right-handed starting pitchers both of the previous two days -- seems to have moved into more of a fourth-outfielder role of late. • Gunnar Henderson bats cleanup versus Blue Jays
Gunnar Henderson, who had led off for the Orioles every game this season, is in the cleanup spot for Wednesday’s game.

Advice: It seems like this is a consequence of the struggling Cedric Mullins being dropped to the ninth spot today, and manager Brandon Hyde not wanting to stack lefties. Still, Henderson hits more like a No. 3 or No. 4 hitter than a leadoff man anyway; he’s sitting at .264/.339/.553 this year and .257/.331/.495 for his career. Jordan Westburg is leading off today. It’d be great for his value if this becomes permanent, but it doesn’t sound like that’s what Hyde is planning at the moment. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:16 am
