    • Diaz has two-hit game Saturday
Yandy Diaz went 2-for-4 against the Orioles on Saturday.

Advice: It was a quiet afternoon for the Rays as they were shutout. Diaz had the only two hits for Tampa Bay. After wining the batting title in the American League last year, he’s hitting just .245 so far this season. Diaz’ .273 BABIP this year is well below his .320 career BABIP. That doesn’t explain his lack of power this year as his .105 ISO is way down from his .192 ISO last season. Rotoworld 55 minutes ago

    • Bradley strikes out seven in loss Saturday
Taj Bradley allowed one run in five innings and took the loss against the Orioles on Saturday.

Advice: Bradley gave up three hits, walked one and struck out seven. It was a strong performance from Bradley, but the Rays were shutout so he had no chance of getting the win. He’s completed six innings in only two of his six starts. While Bradley has a 5.17 ERA on the season, his xFIP is much lower at 3.46. He has 39 strikeouts in 31 1/3 innings. The 23-year-old right-hander is set to face the Cubs at home next week.

    • Struggles in London
Manaea (3-3) took the loss Saturday against the Phillies in London, allowing six runs on seven hits and a walk over 3.2 innings. He struck out three.

Advice: Manaea got off to a good start Saturday, holding the Phillies to just one hit through his first three scoreless innings. However, Bryce Harper launched a home run with one out in the fourth before Philadelphia rallied for five runs with two outs in the frame, forcing Manaea from the game. The left-hander's now allowed 11 earned runs over 9.1 innings in his last two starts after pitching to a 2.70 ERA over his previous seven outings. Overall, Manaea sports a 4.30 ERA with a 1.35 WHIP and 60:25 K:BB across 60.2 innings this year. He'll look to get back on track in his next start, currently scheduled for next week at home versus the Padres. Rotowire.com Today, 2:06 pm

    • Sean Manaea takes loss in London Series opener
Sean Manaea was blasted for six runs over 3 2/3 innings on Saturday in a loss to the Phillies.

Advice: Manaea drew the starting assignment for Saturday’s London Series opener against the division-rival Phillies and was unable to complete four frames. The wheels came off completely in the fourth inning when he gave up homers to Bryce Harper and Whit Merrifield in a disastrous six-run frame. He’ll bring a 4.30 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 60/25 K/BB ratio across 60 2/3 innings (12 starts) into a home outing on Friday against the Padres. Rotoworld Today, 1:03 pm

    • Fields grounders Friday
Rendon (hamstring) progressed to taking groundballs Friday, per MLB.com.

Advice: Rendon resumed baseball activities earlier in the week, making throws and taking swings in the batting cages. His ability Friday to take grounders -- albeit only on balls that were hit right at him in order to avoid lateral movement -- was another sign of progress, and Rendon is expected to put his strained left hamstring to an even bigger test by jogging Saturday. Rendon remains weeks away from a return, but it's now feasible that he could be back with the Angels by the end of June. Rotowire.com Today, 12:07 pm

    • Josh Jung (wrist) resumes taking batting practice
Josh Jung (wrist) has progressed to taking batting practice.

Advice: Jung was cleared to resume swinging a bat back in late May, so it’s a positive sign he’s taking regular batting practice again. The 26-year-old has been brought along slowly in his rehabilitation from early-April surgery on his right wrist. The hope is that he’ll be ready to return at some point in late June or early July. There is no official timetable at this juncture, but he should be getting close to starting a minor league rehab assignment. Rotoworld Today, 10:55 am

    • Ramping up activity
Polanco (hamstring) has been ramping up baseball activities but will require a minor-league rehab assignment before activation, MLB.com reports.

Advice: The veteran infielder took full infield practice during the Mariners' three-game road trip in Oakland earlier in the week, and there were no reported setbacks. However, manager Scott Servais confirmed before Friday's series opener against the Royals that Polanco will require at least a brief rehab assignment, which could commence at Triple-A Tacoma in the coming days. • Jeff McNeil on the bench Saturday vs. Phillies
Jeff McNeil remains out of the lineup for Saturday’s London Series opener against the Phillies.

Advice: McNeil is out of the lineup for the fourth straight game and fifth time in New York’s last seven as his struggles at the dish continue. The 32-year-old infielder is batting .227/.296/.320 with three homers and three steals across 224 plate appearances. It’ll be Jose Iglesias at second base and batting eighth during Saturday’s series opener across the pond. Rotoworld Today, 7:35 am

    • Sitting versus southpaw
McNeil isn't in the Mets' lineup Saturday against the Phillies, Abbey Mastracco of the New York Daily News reports.

Advice: With left-hander Ranger Suarez slated to start on the mound for Philadelphia, the lefty-hitting McNeil will step out of the lineup Saturday. Jose Iglesias starts at the keystone, batting eighth. Rotowire.com Today, 6:25 am
