      Yandy Díaz went 1-for-4 with a triple and three RBI against the Orioles on Saturday.

      Advice: Díaz brought two runs in to score with a line drive off the right field wall as he legged out a triple in the second inning. He was credited with a third RBI after drawing a bases-loaded walk in the third. The 32-year-old first baseman is slashing .243/.320/.350 with four homers and 28 RBI across 253 plate appearances.     • Taj Bradley lit up for nine runs in loss to Orioles
      Taj Bradley allowed nine runs across 3 1/3 innings in a loss to the Orioles on Saturday.

      Advice: Bradley had some trouble keeping the ball in the yard in Baltimore. Ryan Mountcastle got the scoring started with a two-run blast in the first inning. Anthony Santander followed with a solo homer. Jordan Westburg then led off the second with the third home run for the Orioles. Baltimore would bring six more runs in, including another two-run blast by Ryan Mountcastle in the fourth, before Bradley was relieved. The 23-year-old right-hander ends the day with a 5.81 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, and a 32/9 K/BB ratio across 26 1/3 innings.       Yoshida (thumb) took live batting practice in Boston on Saturday, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

      Advice: Yoshida was able to take another step in his recovery from the strained left thumb that has sidelined him since May 1. The outfielder said Saturday that he is "over the injury and it's a matter of building up," according to Abraham.       Advice: Witt had multiple hits in five of his last six games in May, adding seven RBI despite just two extra-base hits in that span. The shortstop hit .315 through the end of April and exactly matched that mark in May, showing excellent consistency.       Advice: Cronenworth was a key part of San Diego's nine-run eighth inning, knocking in the first two runs of the frame with a single and capping the outburst with an RBI double. The pair of base knocks were much-needed for the second baseman, as he had just one hit over his previous 14 at-bats prior to the big inning.     • Pete Alonso returns to lineup Friday vs. D-backs
      Pete Alonso went 1-for-5 with an RBI on Friday against the Diamondbacks in his return to the Mets’ lineup.

      Advice: Alonso was able to come off the bench and deliver a pinch-hit double during Thursday’s series opener, less than 24 hours after being diagnosed with a bone bruise in his right hand.       Stroman (5-2) allowed two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out two over 7.1 innings to earn the win over the Giants on Friday.

      Advice: Stroman has pitched into the eighth inning in two of his last four starts, allowing just three runs over 26.2 innings in that span. During his hot stretch, he's posted a 15:7 K:BB, but that's about the only weak spot in his game right now. Stroman is at a 2.73 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 55:29 K:BB over 69.1 innings across 12 starts.
