      Advice: Fry will head to the bench after a stretch of six consecutive starts in which he slashed .333/.462/.667 with three extra-base hits, one stolen base, eight RBI and five runs. Five of his last six starts came in left field, but with Steven Kwan back from the injured list, Fry could end up seeing most of his opportunities at designated hitter moving forward. Kyle Manzardo represents Fry's primary competition for playing time at DH, but both will be on the bench Sunday while Jose Ramirez gets a day off from third base and but sticks in the starting nine in a non-defensive role.       Santander went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and two total runs scored in Saturday's 9-5 win over the Rays.

      Advice: Santander has started to look more like himself, going 9-for-32 (.281) with three homers over his last nine contests. For the year, he's slashing .218/.300/.440 with 10 homers, 30 RBI, 29 runs scored, 11 doubles, one triple and no stolen bases. Santander has been plagued by a .224 BABIP this year, so it's no surprise his overall numbers are down, but it's a reason for optimism that he'll be able to turn things around.     • Stuck with sixth loss
      Olson (1-6) took the loss Saturday as the Tigers fell 6-3 to the Red Sox, giving up five runs on six hits and a walk over 5.1 innings. He struck out two.

      Advice: He was able to handle most of Boston's lineup, but Enmanuel Valdez proved to be his kryptonite, smacking a double and two homers off Olson. The right-hander had gone eight straight outings without allowing more than two earned runs heading into Saturday, and despite the stumble Olson will take a 2.48 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 52:20 K:BB through 61.2 innings into his next start, which lines up to come at home next weekend against the Brewers.     • Efficient in quality start
      Valdez (4-3) earned the win over Minnesota on Saturday, allowing one run on two hits and two walks while striking out four batters over seven innings.

      Advice: Valdez needed a modest 85 pitches to get through seven frames before turning the game over to the bullpen. He notched his second straight quality start and fourth over his past five contests. Overall, Valdez has given up three or fewer earned runs in seven of his nine starts on the campaign.       Pasquantino went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run, an additional RBI and a double in Saturday's 7-3 loss to the Padres.

      Advice: Pasquantino twice gave the Royals a lead, first with a first-inning homer and then with an RBI single in the third, but that was the extent of the team's run production. The first baseman is heating up with three straight multi-hit efforts. He's gone 7-for-15 with four extra-base hits and six RBI in that span after batting just .148 with no multi-hit performances over a 16-game stretch. For the season, Pasquantino is slashing .242/.317/.434 with seven homers, 39 RBI, 27 runs scored, 15 doubles, one triple and no stolen bases through 56 contests.     • X-rays come back negative for Ranger Suárez
      X-rays on the injured thumb of Phillies’ left-hander Ranger Suárez came back negative for any fractures on Saturday.

      Advice: Phillies’ skipper Rob Thomson told reporters that Suárez is still dealing with some swelling in his thumb but that the team feels fortunate to have dodged any serious injuries. He’s slated to take the mound against the Mets next weekend in London, but it’s still unclear whether or not he’ll be able to take the hill.     • X-rays clean, unsure for next start
      Suarez's (hand) X-rays came back negative Saturday but there's swelling in his left thumb and it's unclear if he'll be able to make his next scheduled start, Alex Coffey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

      Advice: Fantasy managers can take a deep breath knowing that Suarez avoided significant injury after being hit by a comebacker during his start Saturday. While it's uncertain at this point if Suarez will recover in time for his next start -- which is tentatively scheduled for June 8 -- the 29-year-old is expected to avoid the injured list after Saturday's scare.       Ramirez went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and a stolen base in a 3-2 win over the Nationals on Saturday.

      Advice: Ramirez singled and came around to score in the first then stole second and scored from there on a wild pitch in the third.       Ranger Suarez was pulled from Saturday’s start against the Cardinals after being hit in the left hand by a comebacker.

      Advice: For now, the Phillies are calling it a left-hand contusion, so it sounds like the 28-year-old southpaw was fortunate to have avoided any serious injury. Prior to exiting, he had worked two perfect innings with a pair of strikeouts. It doesn’t sound like his next start should be in jeopardy, but fantasy managers should pay close attention to his status over the next couple of days just to be on the safe side.
